Skeete was extremely sloppy with his trainer rollocking him throughout the fight for basic errors. The fight was fought centre ring with Lynes using a lot of erratic and forced head movement at range where as Skeete lurched over and threw jabs and kept it at range without causing much damage himself. Lynes floored Skeete in the second with a looping right hand IIRC to temple which buckled Skeete's legs slightly and he took a knee with a clear head and from there controlled the action with Lynes sporadically coming to life with looping right hands. Lynes came to life in round 10 landing 3-4 clean right hands which Skeete stood up to but it was to little to late and Skeete got over the finish line without ever looking good or being forced to truly earn it IMO. Barry Jones questioned why Lynes only emptied his tank in round 10 as it seemed like he could of easily of forced the issue sooner. Lynes seemed to neglect the body of Skeete and often spent time at range looking to find the perfect opening rather then risking taking a few to give a few. For Lynes i think it's now accept being a gatekeeper domestically or jack it in and for Skeete you just hope he learns from it because he could be exposed brutally if he steps up against the better end of the domestic ladder.
