Tony will could get seriously hurt if he ever faced some of the Cruiserweight champs...they would cave his head in. 25 lbs extra is nearly 2 stones in weight, that's a massive jump in boxing.

He's only got to where he has at Light Heavyweight due to his size advantage in fights but if he faced some of these guys who are basically small Heavyweights they would knock him out quickly.

Having said that, the domestic cruiserweight scene in this country is so bad that he could pick up the British title.

    Bellew will do alright.

He's never going to be an elite level fighter, we knew that even before last night.

However he is easily good enough to continue making a good career from boxing, certainly as good as anything we have at domestic level, and will do well at European level too. Maybe if the cards fall into place against the right opponent he may pick up a World Title, although I'd expect him to lose it again after a few fights.

The guy still has plenty options.

People forget bellew was aba champ at heavyweight and had a good ko pecentage and wins over some heavyweights like sam ***ton.if bellew puts the weight on right in 12 months he could be full cruiserweight.

It'll take a year just to put on a maximum of 18lbs of muscle - to capitalise on 25lbs will take a fair bit of time; he's a full grown man now....

Seems to me there are so many boxing people who say this that there must be something to it.

If Bellew had taken all those shots from Stevenson and won, he wouldn't even be contemplating a move to CW. It's simply because he lost, and feeling a need to justify the loss after all the pre-fight boasts. He didn't move up in weight after fighting Cleverly simply because he believed he won. Once he got a clear TKO loss against him he blames the weight because he cannot dispute any unfair scoring as in the Chilemba fight.

Fighters will do anything to delude themselves.

Deep deep down bellew will know the story though. He cant hide from his own thoughts

Bellew has no muscle mass at LH. Infact he looks too drained and weak.A move up weight and build some muscle will not only make his punches stronger he will also be able to absorb punches better. Hes 6'2. so this should not be a problem.
I believe he will progress better than Clevely at Cruiser. Good luck.

Stevenson's stocky build is more suited at LH, Bellew looks way too skinny, hardly any muscle mass.

Those slagging him off should remember he lost to arguably the No. 1 LH, no shame in that.

I hope he does move up.

I also believe nearly all of us are very surprised at adonis's progress.
