Vitali will announce Dec. 15 (or later if he asks for another extension) that he is retiring. The WBC will announce that Wlad will fight Stiverne for the title -- or the top available contender if Stiverne's lawsuit with King ties him up. So if not Stiverne then probably Arreola. I think that's what all the delays are about, K2 trying to work Wlad into the picture for the vacant title, rather than waiting for that to sort out and unifying against the winner -- cheaper, for one thing, and the clock is ticking on Wlad, too. The WBC would go for it because it's more money -- I mean, Stiverne-Arreola II (or Stiverne-Wilder if they went that route, or Wilder-Arreola, anyway you want to sort it out) wouldn't generate much in the way of a sanctioning fee. And everyone would recognize Wlad as the real champ and the WBC beltholder as just that ... someone who is holding a belt. We'll see, but that seems to make the most sense.
Since Stiverne is ranked as WBC mandatory, Arreola at #2 WBC and Wilder #3 for not fighting anyone ranked, I think that since Don King will not allow Stiverne to fight anyone, they are still in court, so that leaves Arreola whom Vitali has already stopped, or Wilder who would be an easy knockout for Vitali. Vitali has a rock solid chin, Wilder would be no threat and Vlad beat Wilder from one side of the ring to the other, knocked Wilder down with a jab, so that could be Vitali's retirement fight, easy one at that.............however, the above sounds possible..............
Would be the best solution if Vitali retires. I know a lot of fans of other HW's wouldn't like that, because it means there's no free (not having to face a Klit for it) belt out there for their man. But with the WBC's current policy I don't think it will happen.
Haye would love to get that vacant WBC strap but for whatever reason I see Golden Boy trying to get Wilder the belt and Golden Boy has/had a lot of WBC champs.
Vitali has boss on high tide and is under with no preoccupation otherwise. So we will be put away and you cannot say another thing, Saintpat.
I believe this is whats happening behing the scenes. Wlad will end up fighting for the vacant belt while breaking his own cumpu-clinch record all over Stiverne or Arreola's back. Id like to see them put Wilder forward. One shot will end that fight and id take the younger , faster more atlethic Wilder to send it home first. Wlad can forget about hugging and jumping on Wilder's back. It aint happening.
Wlad cannot fight for a vacant title. For Wlad it would be much better Vitali had retired official. Than he had the chance for unification.
I think he fights Arreola or Wilder because Stiverne is tied up in a dispute with King and that is what this is all about.
Let us hope Vitali doesn't get hit with any stray bullets from the Riot police. This is more dangerous than any boxing match he has fought in ever. Remember in Ukraine they jail their political rivals or have then "accidentally shot". War for you country Vitali:fire
Stiverne would then face Arreola, I guess, although can't see it going any different to their first fight. That's the problem with when Wlad and Vitali totally retire, the division will be left in a ****ing mess with below par out of shape belt holders until somebody else comes along and cleans up the division....No, not Wilder.
Vitali is about to become president of the Ukraine, wouldn't that be bad ass if the Doctor over throws the government, an then has his last fight has heavyweight champion in kiev, as there new leader..... He ATG, I sure he could get away with a very easy camp against the right guy.....
He is clearly not retiring. If this was the case he would not have dragged this on for so long. I like both brothers but Vitaly sure as Hell is not doing his little brother any favors by extending his career in this manner. Vitaly has to keep fighting so he can get as much exposure for his political party full of Zionist Oligarchs that will turn Ukraine into another Israeli proxy. I like Vitaly as a fighter but I cannot believe he is aligned politically with that den of snakes.
