There's is only one thing the British public hates more than a bad loser, and that's a bad winner.
The crowd were all against the referee until Carl opened his mouth and a load of bollocks came out. Not only did he talk a load of bollocks about the stoppage but then laid into Groves about disrespecting him in the fight build up and refused to shake his hand at first. George was full of respect after and we all know that 99% of boxers talk to build the fight up but shake hands after the fight, for some reason Carl is beyond this. I think what Groves said clearly inside and outside the ring was pritty close to the truth and Carl is known to be insecure.

You can respect and even like the fighter and hate the man, I have a similar thought on Mayweather but maybe bigger extremes.

Groves has really shown up Carl Froch for what he is as a person, which is extremely insecure. Groves brought that right out into the open in the build up, made a mockery of the supposed gulf between them in the fight, and Froch's bitterness and maybe even embarrassment about it all really showed afterwards.

Froch genuinely cannot stand it when he isn't getting praised. Constantly has to be told how great he is and it touches a nerve big time when negativity comes his way.

The good thing is he is also a proud guy and doesn't shirk challenges, so everything that has happened may just sting him enough to guarantee a rematch.

I used to be a Froch fan, but now I can't stand him. He should rematch Groves, but perhaps he is afraid he will lose?
