I think (and hope) Ruslan vs Rios will be made instead, Marquez only wants a rematch with Bradley otherwise he probably won't ever fight again.

 

Brandon Rios will get brutally f-cked up by Provodnikov, the fight would be more one sided than when Adonis Stevenson is slapping one of his bitches around.

what? JMM is one fight removed from knocking out manny pacquiao. the fight after that was a very good boxing display and execution of sheer athleticism by timothy bradley. marquez is still one of the sport's most devastating and skilled counter punchers, and provodnikov is tailor made for that type of style. add to that marquez's experience at the top level, in wars, and you have a fighter who is at the very least, a tremendous challenge for ruslan. it's funny how a loss can make guys forget.

 

Hope this happens would be a decent test for ruslan learn a lot from having a tear up with JMM.

 

Marquez wouldn't touch that fight with a barge pole.

he's been hanging around for years for the Pac sweep stakes, only taking on basic fighters inbetween to keep from getting beaten.

he took a fight that was 50/50 against Bradley, and he lost. we're not going to see him take fights like that again. hell, he may not even take on Pac again now he's got a win over him.

 

Ruslan would go to Prison for beating the sh** out of a senior citizen. It would be Brutal.

JMM is close to the end of his career and could make better $s elsewhwere.

If JMM asked me, I would recommend he did just that, as much as I would love to see both the fight itself and Ruslan with such a scalp on his resume.

 

In spite of the Pac KO JMM whilst as you say, remaining a top fighter, is not what he was.

You mention JMM - Bradley, but think about Bradley - Ruslan. Marquez could never be written off but you think he gets hit less than Bradley against Ruslan?

Even if he were to win JMM might be hurt enough to make the thought of defending his new title academic. And Ruslan is not yet even a big name outside the boxing community.

It's a fight I'd like to see, but unless there's no more lucrative fights to be made, it isn't one I'd recommend for JMM.

JMM never had a peak per se. But right now he just got schooled big time from Bradley, and although Ruslan is the type of fighter he likes to counter, he's past it.

 

Id still say Juan gets this through UD. provo's offense would be kept in check, he might be ktfo in the process though.
