Cintron is mentally weak. I am really surprised that anyone would dispute this. Cintron and Judah share similar problems. Both are physically talented, but seem to lack the heart.

He did better when you compare his performance to his last one against Margo..His problem is that he relies solely on his power and when the guy in front of him (Margarito) just walks through his best punches, he starts getting frustrated and doesn't know what to do...he has 27 KO's in 29 wins, that's a lot of freaking power that he relies on, and when you throw a somewhat of a haymaker with that kind of power and your opponent takes it and smiles and keeps coming, that's when he thinks "WTF now"...

He would have knocked Gomez out tonight, so would Margarito.

Wat did you expect? "My hands were up high and he hit me with a left uppercut to the body, I couldn't breath.''... So why did he have those hands high up there if he was supposed to be the hardest hitter and make his fists talk for himself? Like I said before, the fists have no will of their own and you gat to face the beast and discourage it with your stare. I did expect it to go a little bit longer but Kermit will be back, he's a good, exciting fighter but very weak mentally.

I disagree. It is possible. One example is Golota. He showed maturity and a lot of heart recently.

I like Cintron i think his a good kid and a decent fighter but the facts remain his body language was that of a guy that had given up. He turned his head, he complained to the ref, he walked to a neutral corner, he complained some more.. The fight simply wasnt going his way. He fought Margos fight and margo stayed in his grill for all 6 rounds. He tried to give it back but when fighters punch back Cintron loses. He doesnt have a plan B and he certainly didnt box. I found really ironic why Steward at the beginning of round 6 finally told his charge to box?!?! Wasnt it a bit late for that? Cintron can still make some noise but against and iron chinned brawler like Margo his going to get beat 10 times out of 10. His got to learn to clamp down and bite that gum shield and simply throw punches back. Margo simpy threw more punches with more on them. Cintron just wilted.

It depends on what you mean by weak.

I don't think he lacks heart or courage...but he definitely didn't show a whole lot of brains in there thinking he could scrap with Margarito and allowing himself to be smothered like that. He fought the same fight here like he did against Jesse Feliciano...except Margo hits harder.

Everyone has one guy who has their number. Margarito is Cintron's guy.

mental weakness is what seperates mayweather from judah (i always felt he had the tools to be on his level if not a better level). but getting back to cintron he is very talented a boxer that has power, can use his height well at times, could be hell for any fighter when he boxes from the outside, but guy just has mental breakdowns and those are one of the few traits in boxing that has rarley gets fixed next to a boxers chin.

In my eyes it's worse than a bad chin.

Good defense and recouperative powers can somewhat balance out a bad chin. Ring generalship and mental bravado are two things that are nearly impossible to gain.

The sad thing is Cintron is a nice guy and has the #1 equalizer in power. Too bad he can't figure out how the **** to use it on the next tier.
