Because Garcia has other options and can make it more interesting if he decides to move up and perform at 147. Khan is being cashed out quick by Golden Boy before someone random knocks him out.

Not half as **** as your information. How was the undercard for Mayweather-Marquez?, remember how much that made?, what about Hatton-Mayweather, Ortiz-Mayweather and Guerrero-Mayweather?

So I guess having a hard fight with Julio Diaz is the key for getting a shot at Floyd Mayweather.

Thurman has 21 fights only with no championship fights yet and both Matthysse and Garcia are Light Welterweights. Garcia would be a solid option if he decides to move up and make some noise at 147. I do fully agree that Khan is a complete joke of a fight but the guys you mentioned aren't far better.

They are all better options then khan and none of them would almost get beat by Julio Diaz..

Still Matthysse who's coming off a loss and Thurman who is still rising aren't exactly better replacements.

You can't defend Floyd on this one scar sorry.. Lol

The media alone would do a hell of a job letting people know how much of a threat Thurman and Matthysse is ..

I don't know.... both would obliterate Khan... Thurman too green, but Matthysse in a close loss where an eye closure had an effect is not a bad opponent by any means.

Khan is the jokiest opponent ever. He's a big name, but he's C level opposition.

Pair that with the fact the video suggests the eye wasent even closed by a punch = bad luck that night for Lucas

I'm not defending, just letting you know that you're picking guys who have no business whatsoever to be considering by any big name at this point. Matthysse is coming off a loss and Thurman, regardless of how threatening he is, is still too green for a fight of this magnitude. It would be suicide for Thurman's management to even consider Mayweather this early in Thurman's career. You can consider him all day and all week, that's fine, but logically he's a terrible pick. I'd rather see Mayweather consider Martinez or Alexander.

D level for Mayweather. Still, Matthysse wouldn't be someone they could hype and advertise when he's coming off a loss to Garcia. When was the last time Mayweather fought someone coming off a loss?, Judah in 2006 and he's still getting **** for it despite already signing a date for that fight before Baldomir beat Judah.

I don't agree but w/e .. Devon would be a good option but he clearly lost to Lucas and Lucas is more known according to showtime ratings :deal
