People here salivate over 2 million in ppv's Yet you got people like the klits getting triple that amount of views ..PPV. Is just smoke and mirrors !

 

No surprise here, JMM, Cotto, DLH, Hatton wern't there to carry the PPV.

People saying the fight being in China made the media coverage in the states very mild.

However, every article I read about the fight was focusing solely on it's location. Similar to the Clottey fight being at Cowboys Stadium... It added an extra little novelty to it.

If the fight happened in Vegas with the same undercard it def doesn't do MORE PPV buys...

 

Rios just wasn't that big ,same with Guerrero ,and speaking of that what was the actual number of that PPV ?

 

No it was because Bob Arum thought he could make more money with it outside the US... Maybe he was right, maybe not.

But money was the only factor here. Nothing else.

 

Mayweather vs. Guerrero did 870k buys, confirmed by Showtime and the PPV industry.

 

Really I just read an article that the true number was never released..But either way death to PPV !

Cotto was champ and was coming off 3 TKO's including revenge sonning Margarito, no catchweight, and Floyd went up.

Marquez is a future HOF. and Floyd was coming off a 2 year layoff. And he made that light work.

Guerrero hadnt lost in 8 years and was Floyds Mandatory to keep his belt.

Hatton previously held a belt at 147 before he fought Floyd AND that was only Floyds 3rd fight at 147
