Im a huge fan of all 4 of these guys. At LW this could have been a nightmare and a legacy all in one. I think the better matchup here has got to be Barrera Vs Duran. A boxer vs a brawler and really an all purpose fighter in Roberto..Boom Boom vs Manny would have been a great fight, I dont think Manny ever saw anyone as tough as Ray at LW, even though Manny did destroy Barrera.

I think the Mancini vs Paq is the better matchup, Duran was a large lightweight who carried his weight up to higher weights. Barrerra just wasn't big enough to handle Durans power.

As far as the Mancini fight I see this being a close competitive fight though Ray was similar to Hatton in size he was a much better all around fighter and after watching Arguello tee off on him Mancini showed his chin was made of iron, unless the fight went into the championship rounds I see Paq pulling a split decision.

Both are pretty one-sided fights. Mancini is too open for Manny's off-key rythm and blitzing lefts down the pipe. Duran is not only better than Barrera outright, he has a significant size advantage.

I'd love to see both, though, the latter especially.

Besides JMM..Mancini may have had the best chin of any fighter Manny has ever seen!

And Barerra has been my hero ever since he exposed the Prince!

Seeing how 122 was Barrera's best weight (you could argue 130), Barrera is at a substantial size advantage here against Duran. And I wouldn't call either guy a "brawler"... Duran wins here obviously.

Mancini vs Pac I agree with Shake- Mancini too open and Manny has a field day with his use of angles and the in-and-out thing he does. Entertaining, but a bad night for Mancini.

The better matchup in terms of competitiveness is the second fight.

    I don't know- Mancini's a tough guy. I doubt it. Pac isn't a huge puncher.

I think Pac only had one or two fights at the weight.

Manny-Mancini, because both guys are in their prime at the weight. Putting a guy who was most effective at feather vs an ATG lightweight who would hold titles as high as middleweight is a mismatch.

Funny how Duran always looked great..even at 154 and 160!!..He got larger but never really looked bad.

 Of course he didn't always look good at those higher weights, but he did well enough to be much more successful there than Marco did at lightweight.

It's the same reason no one speculates about, say, how Chavez Sr. or Arguello would do against Leonard at welter. It's kind of obvious what's going to happen.

At least Mancini vs Pacquiao shouldn't be a completely foregone conclusion.

Barrera / Duran is more competitive … Manny makes short work of Ray …
