does groves deserve a rematch any more than kenny Anderson did?

It wasn't too long ago that people were calling for his head for not giving Anderson a rematch.
I'd love to see the froch rematch that George is begging for but doesn't that make him a massive Hypocrite?

Anderson was clearly stopped, George was robbed. Not even slightly close.

I think the circumstances are different but yeah he didn't give Kenny the rematch they agreed to but that's boxing and in all honesty if Froch opts for a fight in the U.S Groves has to accept it and get on with it.

Also DeGale never got a rematch after a close fight. But that's boxing if everyone gave people rematches we'd see people not progressing etc.

So no not a massive hypocrite but there is a small irony to it i suppose and the stoppage was a little softish in the first fight IIRC. Although Kenny did look spent and the ironic thing about that is Froch had him in for sparring a few weeks before Groves vs Anderson and Froch supposedly smashed Anderson's body up in sparring and Groves knew that and launched a heavy assault on Groundskeeper Willy's body.

Groves was kind of robbed, but then Froch was also robbed. He could well have been 10 or 20 seconds away from an uncontroversial stoppage.

Groves winning rounds early and outclassing Froch wasn't really that much of a surprise. The fight played out as it could have been predicted to happen. (Maybe not the first round knock down.)

I think Froch should give him a rematch, but I don't think it needs to be immediate. Ward is a tougher fight. Golovkin is probably a tougher fight. And both of those do more for Froch's legacy.

I know with the Ward fight, the fans are pretty sure they already know the result if it happens, and Ward doesn't make for exciting fights, but I don't think you can criticize Froch if he takes on the best in the division. Probably not a great fight for the fans, but Froch has a right to try imo.

Here me thinking paper work was singed and sealed for a rematch till other things got in the way. Which paper work has Froch singed?

Imo, more rematches would be a lot better than much of the matchmaking we get.

I think the fans are too quick to say, "We have seen that fight already, not interested".

Let the tops guys fight each other and know that getting a couple of losses isn't a big deal, and they will probably get another chance.

    Yes, of course he does.

    1. He was bossing the fight, for the most part.
    2. It was stopp prematurely, under a great deal of controversy.
    3. Both Froch and Groves played their part in an epic fight.
    4. A rematch makes huge money and is a fight British boxing needs.

Even without the controversy, there should be a rematch of such a great first fight.

groves was clearly dictating the fight agains anderson whilst froch and groves were going at it, but your right anderson should of got a rematch but groves chose stieglitz and its likely froch will choose chavez jr

The rematch was signed and was days away from happening, but never happened due to Groves taking a world title shot against Stieglitz, that never happened due to injury.

Hypocrite no he was offered a crack at the World Title. As for DeGale 2 fight what was the point. Better to wait a couple of years When a world title is up for grabs.

The Froch Groves fight has got the general public asking for a rematch. They didn't with DeGale or Kenny did they.
