Will Broner take the Maidana challenge?

Just wait the excuses will be flying (Maidana wasn't that good, it was fixed,Maidana couldn't concentrate) Broner is going to put a methodical ass whooping on the Mummy.

 

I won't make any excuses for Maidana if Broner dominates him. I can see broner winning a tough Ud or stopping him late maybe but i'll be shocked and impressed if he Ko's him early or dominates him to a very wide UD. I'm convinced that Maidana will give him a tough fight and lose or he stops him.

It is a good style for Borner but broner himself stands and trades without great footwork and movement and he will give Maidana chances to land if Maidana has been watching tapes he will see that when up close there is chances for the overhand right when Broner is in high guard ready to throw a jab.

Even in his best win vs De Marco he would fight on the inside and give De Marco chances to throw but he either didn't have the power or he would mostly throw the wrong choice of punch, usually a light jab to the body instead of an overhand right over the top of Broner's jab, as i say Maidana will, have chances but he has to be smart.

 

I'm still shocked at how poor Maidana looked against Alexander. Broner should have the perfect style to deal with him over 12 rounds.

Maidana was awful in that fight but its been said why and since then he has changed trainer, uses the jab now and is getting in better shape. Plus that result has no bearing on Broner vs Maidana. Broner to his credit doesn't "fight" like Devon does, he doesn't clinch 200 times and he actually comes to fight.

Broner might win but its not because of how Devon beat him, totally different fight and i wish people would see this.

 

Yeah the likely outcome is Broner by UD, looking spectacular in the process, but you can't rule out Maidana hurting him and stopping him. Too many uncertainty's about Broner at 147, how does he take a shot?, does he react well when he gets hurt?, does he have power at 147?. These questions we don't the answers yet.
