Got to laugh at ashishwarrior. Calzaghe had domestic dust ups with Eubank, Woodhall, Reid. Calzaghe gave Froch the oppourtunity after being called out and Froch ducked the fight after he had talked all of that rubbish.

I'd rather see Groves do it again, but yeah I can't stand Froch, and won't support him at all in his future fights.

I wonder what Froch would have said if Kessler decided Froch was old ground and he doesn't need to rematch him

Ward should be well excited. Gets to fight a shot Froch for the IBF belt and the mickey mouse WBA one.

His only option is Steglitz what is he 3/4 no chance of wbc route with degale going for a eliminator.

Agree Froch has no chance vs ward. Chavez fight I just don't get at all. Wonder if Groves could do a Khan and go on Box Nation if he can make the Steglitz fight.

Think the iFL interview with Adam Smith today speaks volumes. Three statements from him "its what Sky wants" "its what I want" "I think its what Eddie wants", IMO thats basically him saying "you work for us and thats the fight we want", especially the dismissive vibe that came off when he was speaking about potential of Froch vs Ward/Golovkin/Chavez Jr

Very true. Froch can talk all he wants about vegas but for Sky the money fight onn PPV for them is Groves rematch. Any other opponent is leaving money on the table.

The idea that any other opponent generates more money than a Groves fight is absurd. Ticket prices for a Groves fight could be more expensive than the first and it would sell out easily. PPV sales would way higher and after what happened in the first fight HBO would pick up the fight 2nd time around for US TV.

I dont believe HBO give a damn about Ward v Froch. The Casinos in Vegas wouldnt be interested and nobody cares about Ward. His last fight on HBO drew a poor rating, he cant even fill small arena's so the idea of Vegas is silly talk. The high rollers wont go to Vegas for that fight and Froch doesnt have enough UK fans who would travel.

Absolutely. Thanks god Ward's personal referee and judges in his personal home town arena are so fair and unbiased.

Internet warriors, calling people makes fighting in the ring is just wrong.
Should he rematch Groves yes, next not necessarily.
Btw. people tend to forget that it was the judge that called off the fight not Froch.
I do believe that Froch would have taken Groves down 1-2 rounds later since Groves
    clearly gassed.
However, the only reason that Groves was stopped and Froch wasn't was because of
their reputation before the fight and that's just wrong. It should be how they react or fail to react in the ring that should matter.

Nobody on this site can call Carl Froch a coward. I don't know what you've all done in your lives but I'm fairly confident 99% of you, if not 100%, have not sacrificed and risked your health, or ultimately achieved as much in such a dangerous occupation, as Carl Froch has.

But, at the same time, if he avoids a rematch there is no doubt in anybody's mind why. He thinks he will lose to George Groves, or at least thinks there is a good chance of it. And in his mind that is a disaster. Losing to Ward, Golovkin, or even a Chavez Jr is fine because he's still the main man flying the flag for Britain. Another British fighter dishing out a beating to him though? Especially a guy who on paper hasn't done anywhere near what he's done in the sport? He can't stomach the thought. In his mind losing to George Groves badly hurts his legacy.

People are really overreacting to Froch at the moment. He probably has a couple of fights left so it's up to him who and where that will be. Chavez jr in Vegas sounds quite winnable and high profile doesn't it?

Sky will demand this fight. End of the day eddie will make it happen as matchroom is more important to him than froch

I agree with all of that. I don't think he's actually scared of Groves but I would say that he is the last person he would want to lose to.
