Joe Agbeko - does anyone else have a feeling he could be too big & strong?

    I was actually pondering on this before seeing the weigh-in, but now it's grown from a nagging whisper to a resounding murmur...

    He doesn't have the same height advantage that Cordoba and Marroquin did (both are 5'8" and both gave the 5'4.5" Rigondeaux a hard night with a few scares...) but he is listed as having an inch and it may in fact be a little more. He is also every bit as good as either of those guys and perhaps the physically strongest of all three.

    The smart money of course is on El Chacal putting on a clinic and looking to avoid much drama (going for a KO would be a suicidally dumb move with this particular teak-tough and heavy-handed Ghanaian), but King Kong will probably know this is his last shot at relevance being that it's his first return to a big stage on US television since the Mares rematch two years ago. Both are 33 but Rigondeaux has plenty of time ahead of him while Agbeko's is likely drawing to a close. He will bring his A game, and his game plan will surely be to impose his physicality on Rigondeaux - and you have to wonder if Rigondeaux even with all his craft and guile can thwart a fully motivated Agbeko committing to his game plan... :think Might will triumph over skill?

    Agbeko is a real test, if Rigondeaux can dominate him, then he is #1 P4P in my book

    I highly doubt he can dominate Agbeko, it will be closer

    If you have extra $, those are good odds

    I think Rigondeaux will win on points in a fight that is MUCH harder than expected.

    Agbeko is very tough, Rigo power must be top notch cause he averaged 1 knockdown/fight & he made Donaire go to survival mode

    If Agbeko has no respect for Rigondeaux power, then it will be war :bbb

    Doubt it Agbeko was never stopped & Rigo doesn't like taking risks, unless Arum threatened him that he can only win by KO :yep

    Agbeko will likely win more rounds than Donaire did, simply by virtue of work rate and not looking to commit to a single shot. That said, I think Rigo can find a way to slow him down with well placed counters to the body and head, and craft a clear but competitive decision on all thee cards.

    Come on man I gave V12 a chance and lost sleep the night before, read my posts I wa. Aware V12 was a threat...

    Rigondeaux power is underrated, but I think he is mentally too old touching his style. he uses his power to curb his enemies... Without taking unnecessary risks

    I think this will be the toughest fight of Rigo's career outside of the Cordoba fight.

    Before Donaire, Rigo didn't had many good fighters on his resume. And he actually struggled with a few guys, getting rocked by Marroquin multiple times and barely getting by Cordoba.

    I feel like Donaire's style is perfect for Rigo, but Agbeko's style is more difficult to deal with. Styles do make fights and I think we're going to see a close fight on tomorrow.

    Rigo knows he needs to leave a lasting impression, he knows that HBO won't put up with what he usually he does...I honestly think he'll take Agbeko out with a body shot in the middle rounds.

    If Rigo takes another "boring" decision we may not see him for a while.

    Rigondeaux seems like the type of guy who doesn't care about anything, but winning

    I hope HBO bull**** doesn't force him to fight a less sophisticated fight
