Hell yeah, the unbeaten boxer who beat Juan Manuel Marquez finally got his first loss from an African boxer today in Australia. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLVIaNGHf5o&feature=player_embedded
I think Father Time had a bigger part in the win than Vetyeka. I think he may be more willing to travel to the US to fight Donaire, so he may well get his hands on the WBA title
Spadafora lost his pretty long record too recently and I didn't really rate either of them. Didn't Chris John just win WBA fighter of the decade or some nonsense? Perhaps we'll see John try and make fights outside of Asia now he doesn't have an 0 to protect.
Based on what? Outside of the fortuitous win over Marquez, John hasn't beaten anyone else of note. I think John deserves some credit because of his longevity. But I also think he deserves a fair amount of criticism as well, because he spent practically his entire reign fighting nondescript opposition in his homeland.
:-( Yep he deserves to be criticized....to a point. Considering he is being offered MORE MONEY to fight at home than fight abroad. Boxers fight for money and they should take the fights which gives them the most money, period.
