Very similar to what happened with Wladimir, where he got the large majority of the split.

Could this be a way of them making this fight happen.... the one who gets to promote is the highest bidder... with the champion getting the biggest cut.

Is it 75/25 for the champ? or more ?

Who cares. Bob Arum has already stated he isn't going to call CBS/Showtime back.

    Pretty much how it works.

From what I understand a period is given to both sides to work out the purse splits. If an agreement is'nt reached then the matchup goes out to bids. Any promoter can bid on the fight and the champion gets the better cut of a 75/25 split.

Though Pacquiao would be the mandatory, essentially he's not going to accept a 75/25 split, and what this means is that its irrelevant whether Pacquiao is the madatory or not as Pacquiao himself just would pass on the fight.

50/50 split is fair. Or even 55/45 to the winner.

it should be 50/50, so both can make big money, and i agree with the winner getting 55-45

People thinking this fight should be 50-50 live in a fantasyland. This is prize fighting, it's a business and Floyd like it or not, is the bigger attraction.

Yeah, we're well beyond the point of this being a 50/50 split. I pretty much assumed everyone understood that.

There isn't, and never was enough money available for them to fight.

They're maxing out as it is, if the purses reported are to be trusted.

10-10-80; they can have 10 each and the rest is mine. arguing about the purse is like 5 years ago... again. im tired of this bull****.

they are both superstars, and boxing icons, and superheroes and that they will both put everything on the ring and demanding 70% of the purse is just pure bull****, ***gotry, blasphemy, bull**** excuse and ducking... and did i say bull****?
