Impressive. Not sure what mindset Perez will be in after the Mago fight though.

Good that Perez stays active. He will KO Takam.

It's a shame Perez is height wise so small for a HW. This his only real draw back.

    He will stop Takam though.

Great fight. Perez is getting ambitious in his fights, and he has an opportunity to change my mind about him. Right now, he's highly overrated. He was in an exciting bout, yeah, but barely beating someone hovering around the top 30 doesn't move you far up my list, no matter how entertaining it is. I've seen entertaining back yard fights, it doesn't mean they can compete at the highest levels in boxing. If Perez wins clearly I'll put him in the top 15. If loses, back to mid 30's, if he barely beats another borderline top 30 guy in another entertaining fight, I'll keep him in the mid 20's and be amused as all the bloggers talk about how he's the next great HW and a clear top 5 guy.

Mike Tyson never fought Tyson Fury and Fury is 6 feet 9 inches tall...........

Mago was hard hitting heavyweight, but he was very easy to hit, had no defense. How would Perez do against a fighter with a good defense?

i meant perez defeated tyson fury in one not mike.one more thing, everyone is convinced only giants will rule the heavys,i don't.it was not long ago mike tyson was one,if not THE best of that era (at 5'10").Cooper was much feared at 5'11",when in shape, even Orlin Norris at 5'9" was ducked because of his speed and boxing ability,if Akinwande(6'7") didn't jab and run,Norris would have been champ.Tua as one dimentional as he was,was also feared at 5'9" because of his chin and left hook.Even Holyfield, Moorer or Mercer were not large by today's standards(all about 6'1") but i feel they could still rule now.Look at the UFC champ cain velasquez,he is only 6'1" and the number 2 ranked heavy is daniel comier at 5'10"! Mark hunt is 39 years old and just fought to a draw with the no 4 ranked heavyweight(and he was on steroids)he is only 5'10". i think heavyweight fighters' weight and especially height will slowly come back to historical dimensions.

Mike Perez sorta seems average at everything except having a great chin. Average speed, average defense, average power.

He got hit by 250 punches against Magomed almost all of them power. So he isnt exactly slick but showed an incredible chin.

beating abdusalamov was more credible than any victory fury, wilder, chisora, and others have.

moorer only beat holy. holy has a five hundred or less record against every top guy he faced. mercer, well, he was basically another tua. he got outboxed by everyone decent he fought. just caught a few when he was losing with his power.

Too bad you have absolutely nothing to do with official fighters rankings.
