I am off to sin city to watch hopkins v calzaghe tomorrow morning. Getting a bit excited now but theres not alot of hype about this fight is there? Anyway any1 going?
not sure whether calzaghe will get the 20000 his expecting - i believe tickets are still on sale which is really worrying as hatton mayweather was sold out when they went on sale - in fact i just done a search on virgin atlantic & they have flights almost every day - when i looked at flights for hatton maywethaer they had sold out every day 4 months before hand- this is worrying!!
I'll be there. Any word on how many tickets have been sold? Thomas and Mack holds 20,000. I'd say 5,000 -10,000 pissed up brits will still make it feel lke a home crowd for Joe.
Mate, I'm in the travel business and Virgin gave all of their seats away to package operators for the week before the fight. Those seats will cost an absolute fortune as they are fully flexible and refundable. Calzaghe's nowhere near as popular as Hatton so he was never going to get that kind of following but if 5000-6000 Brits make it all the way across then that's still staggering. Hatton's following makes it seem poor but try and find out how many Brits attended Lennox Lewis' fights out there. Those 5000 will be very vocal so Joe will get some great support - don't see why it should be that worrying. Considering the tickets are ridiculously overpriced, I think it's a good turnout for a non-celebrity. I'm going with 15 friends/members of family from Wales.

I've never heard him say he's going to get 20000, source? Joe doesn't give a **** if he fights with nobody supporting him, he's a cold hearted individual who probably wouldn't even notice. I think there were only about 200 people at the Veit fight in Germany.

I think I have heard the same figure punted about by joe in an interview on youtube, not 100% on it. Mate if Joe got 20,000 across it wouldn't be worth going to see. He obviously wouldnt have done enough training to beat hopkins AND tried to mark up all them tickets :rofl Enjoy the fight, hopefully it will be a good un' :bbb
