In the 2000's he was destroyed by the champ from the 90's past his prime. Prime 90's Lewis would of knocked him out cold.

I agree almost 100%. Though Bowe, was all too willing to eat punches, and he never fought anyone with Vitali, Lewis, or Wlad's power, timing, or ring generalship.
Bowe may have been able to land that lucky shot to daze and then stop Wlad, but I wouldnt give him more than a punchers chance in that fight. Same with Lewis, but I'd pick Lewis 9/10 against Bowe, Wlad 7/10, and Vitali 10/10.

Hell, I'd take Zalijko Mavrovic 50/50 against Bowe, because even with his padded Euro level resume, he'd still be Bowes 3 best win behind his 2 Holyfield wins.:yep

trouble is that the poll is incomplete, because it doesn't include a Vitali loss by decision, or Vitali loss by KO.

This means that there is the equal possibility that each of these options could carry the same amount of votes, since this many people could be prevented from voting their opinion.

So the poll proves that in a limited set of options, the limited majority vote a vitali stoppage.

Dudes from the states love Bowe foolishly. They have him as one of the best ever and use excuses that he was lazy and unfocused. Bowe is great because Holy is great and Bowe and Holy fought great wars. That said, Bowe was bigger than Holy and had a size advantage. Without that size advantage Bowe does not have many GREAT performances. Golota was very solid and had good timing, power etc. That said, he had huge holes in his game and Bowe still had big trouble with him. Bowe was GOOD, Bowe was GOOD for a SHORT period of time. Dudes in the states give him the WHAT COULD OF BEEN simply based on the real talents Bowe did possess. That said he didn't ever put all those REAL TALENTs together and learn to FIGHT well on the OUTSIDE. Just because he had a great jab and everyone felt he could fight on the OUTSIDE does not mean ****, he didn't master OUTSIDE fighting, thus BIG GUYs gave him huge problems,

then we have Vit Klit, very solid fighter, very smart fighter, very tall and good reach. What would of happened if they met prime on prime? Well I would think it would be a great match up. I see Vit out working Bowe and winning a decision.

 

This is a hard to pick fight. And a tough fight too. I'd go with Big Vit.

 

Imo Bowe was among the very top boxers while he was really determined and in shape. Could he have beaten the other top heavies from the 90s? Some of them yes, but not Lennox. Now for Vitali? I don't think so. His defense wasn't on the top level and the accurate punchers usually hit him often, so Imo Vitali would have won a comfortable points decision. Now would Vitali stop a prime Bowe? I'm not sure.
