I wonder if Broner complains that the headbutt broke his jaw.

Broner has always been hype I've said it from day one when they started talking about the Burns fight that he'd be exposed he probably would beat Ricky based on Ricky not being the banger Maidana is but Ricky has speed and can pressure guys.

This might be the making of Broner. At 24 he could get back to the gym and employ a trainer that does the talking in the corner and wont take his **** (as opposed to the way it is now where he does the talking). He believed his own hype and it became his undoing. Needs to buck up, get his head out of the clouds and get back to basics and forget all this partying and rapping bull****.

He can complain all he likes, result is done, he could have been DQ'd himself, constant elbowing and pushing off, the after bell punching...
No points were taken, the ref warned him 3 times for the elbow

The ref was a disgrace to be honest, it will be interesting to see if Broner demands a return, he didn't really hurt Maidana and was hurt himself on numerous occasions. In a return I think Maidana knocks him out.

Maidana is not a riddle, he is right there in front of you and you know what is coming, Broner claims to be the future of boxing and obviously models himself on Mayweather but could you honestly see Mayweather having a hard night against a fighter like Maidana?

And to top off his evening Broner didn't even have the decency to get his face on Tv and congratulates Maidana after all the mouthing off he has done for months.

guys at 135 or even 130 would have beaten him he dodged miguel vasquez and a couple of other he avoided the guys at 140 and jumped up and fought the weakest guy at 147. he was a paper champ through and through.

If the headbutt did break his jaw then he has an excuse that isnt terrible

If not then he has nothing

Really? You think that was enough to break his jaw? All he done was pushed his head under his chin.

I dont think it could I just never thought of that until I read it

It was probably a punch Maidana kept landing hard left hooks on him

Yeah it was definitely the left hooks he got hit with a few flush and if his jaw isn't broken i'll be surprised after seeing Burns's jaw and Broner's looked a little swollen aswell.

Im still in shock at the fight

I remember when Broner got knocked down my mouth was just hanging open, its kinda like Floyd we expect these guys to be invincible but Broner was no Floyd he was Berto tonight

Never falling for the hype again until I see something that actually makes me believe its true

I was shocked at how easy it was for Maidana. I mean i expected a Broner stoppage. I thought this was a fight they made for him to look good with Maidana plodding in down the barrell. But Maidana did the thing you have to do against these guys and that's disrupt them early.

He put the work in early and unsettled Broner. Broner's shoulder roll is laughable and i often felt he was throwing arm punches.

I think the problem for Adrien is he's been to used to using his body to get wins against mediocre fighters.

He showed some qualities as a fighter last night but i don't really know how he comes back from that last night. That's a humbling experience and a hurtful one at that..

Thurman beats Maidana IMO. I think that's a truly skilled fighter with his own style and a true Welterweight who has the power to really hurt Maidana who did ship plenty of punches in the middle rounds.

Broner's got so much work to do as a fighter. I think the Berto call is a good one. Flattrack bullies who imitate a style rather then do whats best by them.

He didn't even impact the jaw. Watch it. The head was in full contact the whole time, maidana swung his head back and jolted broners head backwards. If he has broken his jaw, it was one of maidanas destructive hooks.

i'm not sold on maidana, i think he's a high level gatekeeper type fighter, he tests guys who are touted for the big time out he exposed broner and ortiz but what else has he done in his career, i think brook would hammer him in a few rounds. matthyse is a way better fighter.
