great performance by el chino tonight, his game plan was great, i must admit (and most of you too) i didnt think maidana had the brains and skill to pull it off we knew he had the power. the looping right hand and that left hook that started as a jab were great. he wasnt the wild stupid punching machine that he once was. i think garcia deserves a lot of credit here

One thing that got me thinking was when watching All access, Garcia mentioned broner started slow, so I'm thinkin they wanted MM to go in quick and establish himself, without getting gassed

very good gameplan by Garcia, well known the left hook can land against a philly shell when properly thrown, all highly skilled boxers have said they hate fighting uncoordinated guys because you can't really get a read on when or what their gonna throw, I thought Broner would walk through early fire and win a UD, I was wrong.

Props to the Garcia Camp and Chico.

To make it short the plan was Loaded for Bear and Bringing the Machine Gun.

He threw so many wild and unorthodox shots. He rarely let AB set up and snap off.

I am gong to keep talking **** about Broner but he showed some serious heart. His corner was the ultimate amateur hour but the kid kept fighting and giving his best.

With the exception of the attempt at 2013 Best Actor.

He is the same fighter. Broner just isn't that good and has too many flaws. Maidana's best tactic tonight was to not allow AB to employ any form of head control. He was able to do this partially because he is a very strong fighter but also by working aggressively with the free hand in most of the clinches. Broner should have responded to this by using more jabs especially to keep distance. Instead AB allowed MM to dictate the distance.

After he got broner hurt it seemed like the old maidana to me, swinging wildy for the fences jab goes out the window.

The plan was to go mauling broner from the get go in the first round. You saw how Maidana went savage as soon as the first bell went, uncharacteristically so even for him. This was to fluster AB and take out any sort of gameplan they had formulated out the window. AB is known for being a slow starter and Garcia captialised on that. After the first knockdown Broner was all over the place and was frantically trying to muster up something which he did during the middle rounds, but then got tagged again. Broner could have won, if he remained calm, backed off and used the jab primarily circling el chino. He didnt..

    Great Plan.
Treat him like DOG**** from begining to end !!!
Garcia learned from the Rios fight. Rios jabbed mainly from the outside.
Jab his way in. Multiple jabs. Jab to the body, hook to the head.
Right to the body , hook to the head.
Multiple punches ending with a hook to the head.
    Lots of body shots.
Nice bob and weave, finishing with punches.
    Lot of punches, constant pressure.
    etc.
    Great job !!!

Yeah, I was surprised. But those looping punches were right on the, um, money. The way Broner pulls back to avoid the left, a wide, looping hook is exactly what the doctor ordered.
