It would be great if this made him grow up, become more mature and rededicate himself to the sport - but I would be surprised if that happens, because he seems far gone into his own, little world. This loss could ruin him, but I think he will go on as before, perhaps become a titleholder again - but I don't think he will reach the very top.

''I'm OK. I'm still the three-time world champion in three different weight classes,'' Broner said. ''Tonight, Maidana was just the better man, but we fought a hell of a fight. I hope the fans got what they deserved. ... I'm still going to live like we won the fight. I'm still going to party.''

After that quote it's hard to believe that he will ever change.

That quote right there does not bode too well for Broner's future. You would like to see more class out of a fighter. Of course he's young and a bit immature. But he makes it so difficult to root for him, the way he acts. For all the hate that certain fighters get on this board.....NONE of them act so disrespectful and arrogant. It's not even close.

That is the absolute best way to put it TS, Broner is a self-styled alpha-male bully who got beta-maled tonight, to put it in street terms, Maidana made Broner his lil *****

You are a good poster Koba. Hope he can be back at top level. He was really a victim of his own hype. Ring p4p list looks more and more ridiculous by the day.

in theory this loss should be the best thing for him. himself and his crew should see that he needs to improve on loads of things and he is nowhere near mayweather's class.

reality is that nothing has changed though. if he truly believes what he said in that quote then his career is going nowhere.

Anyway I am glad he lost!
