The LSC-Seda fight was terrific, too. Even the Shumenov fight, while one-sided, was conclusive...and featured a fun cameo from B-Hop during the post fight interview.
The two best cards of the year were both put on by Showtime, both from San Antonio. The card from 27 July (Figueroa vs Arakawa, Thurman vs Chaves, Soto Karass vs Berto) was awesome. But the card tonight was definitely the Card of the Year!!!
I absolutely agree and Dana White can fudd right off as well. Speaking of Dana, is there any truth to the story about why GSP vacated his title? You know, the one where he is getting a sax change and coming back to fight Cyborg in the first all trans gender championship....
Was planning to start a thread about the same thing but you beat me to it. Great early gift from Showtime.
Amazing card! Does anyone know what the attendance was for the event? I heard they were expecting about 20K to show up.
I agree 100% (Although I was rooting for my boy Karass, Thurman was def impressive). The funny thing is that it was originally supposed to be a PPV but it was way better than most PPV's this year.
