Let me start off by saying that I have always hated Broner and have always been a big fan of Maidana, so this fight couldn't have gone any better for me. BUT i'm just wondering what you guys saw in him and all the stupid stuff he did. I'm not trying to talk **** but for example, trying to hump Maidana. Say he had won, how do you respect that ****? And that is just one of many examples, but to see him still act the same way WHILE he is getting his ass beat says a lot about his character. And while you can argue that "I don't care what he does outside the ring, I care about what he does in the ring", a man's character says A LOT about the kind of fighter he is (Not to mention Broner does his stupid antics in the ring too). My question is basically, where did all the hype come from?
Where did the hype come from? He's black, slick and looked tremendous beating C level fighters to a pulp. He also does the whole social media thing to death, more than any other current boxer. He really has set himself up for a major, major fall.
Before the fight, I wanted Maidana to win. During the first round when Maidana rocked Broner, I know longer wanted Maidana to win. I wanted Maidana to destroy Broner.
It's hilarious how many people actually bought it though, especially when he hadn't proved himself against anyone noteworthy. I guess it really was just great marketing, even though I think the majority of people thought everything he did was cringeworthy.
The only people who where fans of Broner is black themselfes, and choice of picking him as a favourite fighter is all skin color. Cause the guy is as disgusting as a humanbeeing as you can get
You probably won't get an answer from any Broner fan for a while as they are all in hiding. Most Broner fans where Black African Americans and they didn't notice Broner was throwing them under a bus by acting out a stereotype. He should have no fans whatsoever.
He FAILED. He was supposed to win that match-up. His head got too big. He's gonna live this loss and cry on his bed at night. Someone hand him a humble pie. That should serve his a$$ for a while. Broner train derailed by Maidana bullet train. BOOM SHAKALAKA!.
Broner has not marketed himself well, in fact he entered the ring looking like a clown and run out of it an even bigger one. He behaves in a way that he shows no respect for boxing, he set himself up for huge fall. I hope the younger generation of boxers learn this is not the way to act, it was a man versus a child with a big mouth last night, the man won, the chld left the ring sucking his thumb.......end of !
Hiding for what he got upset it happens and it was a good fight. The thing that I didn't like was the rolling on the canvas trying to find a out that was bull**** ,in the end maybe this will make him grow up.
100% accurate. He has an engaging personality and looked very entertaining and flashy in the ring against weak opposition. That's about it honestly.
