    canelo lost.

    now broner.

will gbp/showtime feel an urgency to make the pac-floyd happen next yr now that both of their future cash cows were exposed to not be so elite?

there is no big money fight that can be made sooner, more so later (with the other boxers other than floyd).

Floyd, will not be dictated to by showtime or golden boy. Stephen espinoza, said this in boxing momthly jan 2014, i have no authority over opponent selection! When will this be understood?

    dude is a troll!!

pac boys story is like this!
Floyd vs Ghost Flopped =800k- 1 million buys
so SHowtime forced Floyd to Fight Canelo!!

they dont understand that floyd can fight his sparring buddy and showtime would have to pay him 30 million...his 30 million is Guaranteed no matter who he fights!!!

its up to Floyd to fight another great fighter to Max out on each event so he can double his 30 million from PPV sales!!!

Floyd money is not SHowtime Money!!! its CBS money..
and CBS is the #1 TV network in America worth over 100 Billion.

they can really careless who floyd fights.. They just wanted Floyd on SHowtime to make them Relevant and talked about as much as HBO, and the investment has Paid off!!!

foyd-guerrero was flopped. it is a fact. check floyd's minimum wage. how much buys you need to cover that up/

so definitely there is truth to recover the loses in the next fight.

i dont want to into arum this, gbp that back and forth. there is already hundreds of trhreads for that.

remember, expinocha is oscar's guy (formr lead counsel of gp).

oscar already sold out canelo (agreeing to c/w).

now broner's future superstar ppv buys went down the drain.

canelo's popularity will now be confined to mexico more than ever. his chance of crossing-over, dela hoya sold it out.

when floyd is gone, there is no ppv-worthy (at least 500k level of buys) on the horizon, at least that;s how it looks now.

tr has bradley, jr, and prolly shimming-remains to be seen.

edit: rigo/donaire (though highly unlikely but doable to be on ppv).

Canelo was not exposed. He got a boxing lesson from the best boxer in the last 30-40 years.

was it 1.8 million that saw canelo stood there like a statue?

    yeah, he was exposed.

i think the best level he can get is to be the next cotto, granted if he beats cotto.

    it is still pretty good.

but cotto also benefited from his rivalry with margo and his fights with pac, floyd.

    canelo-pac never going to happen.

    canelo-floyd rematch. slim, hihgly improbable.

so canelo needs his own margo.

Floyd Deal is like The Mariners giving Cano 240 million!!!

before Cano signed no one was talking about them they were the worse team in Baseball according to many...low attendance, Bad ticket sales

Floyd is the biggest name in the sport and was on the biggest network
Cano is the best 2nd baseman in MLB and was on the biggest name in the sport!!! they stole the headlines buy getting him and its the same thing!!!

just by signing floyd CBS(not showtime stock went up) and now they are the #1 boxing ppv network...

CBS pay's actors 1 million per episodes on ****ing sitcomes the floyd contract it nothing to them trust me Dude.

Floyd can fight anyone he wants when he wants...the money is Guaranteed..he dont have to worry about CBS losing money thats not his business...

if Cano only his 18 hr's and 80 RBI's next year Seattle can't force him to hit 50-120..Contract is Guaranteed and can't be Voided in a Court of Law...

the incentives for Floyd that CBS put in the Deal is his PPV cut...that is what will push floyd to fight good/great fighters!

    not this again.

lol technically, yes. cbs is the parent company, where else will showtime gets its budget?

doesnt mean cbs itself hired floyd to be their boxing face.

that is showtime lead guys's job.

showtime didnt even show in cbs last quarterly report, more so sports programming, more so boxing, more so floyd.

do you have an idea how small floyd is in the grand scheme of things that is cbs? prolly not even 0.1 pct. way smaller than margin of error on quarterly earinings prediction of stocks analysts.

that is how insignificant floyd is.

unless you can find data supporting "18pct uptick in affiliate and subscription business" was due to floyd and floyd alone.

not other sporst, not big bang theory, not *** and the city.

boxing is a niche sport and floyd has more haters than fans and evidenced by his lack of endorsements.

showtime is betting on making money piggybacking floyd's ppv buys. thats it.

edit: and umm, floyd's guarantee comes from showtime boxing budget. yeah it came from cbs, but showtime decides where to use it, that it espinochas job.

cbs guys overlooks on these small businesses under cbs. espinocha prolly reports to one these cbs vps.

    learn how corp hierarchy works.

showtime people are not corporate people, except prolly the top guy which is espinocha.

and floyd works/hired by showtime, so he is local or internal to showtime.

If Floyd Decide tomorrow to call Nike they would be more than willing to Endorse him!!!

Kobe raped someone and Nike stood by him!
    Charles Barkley DUI's
    Tiger Woods
U want me to list more than did worse or if not as bad as what Floyd was accused of and Sponsors still stood by them??

over 30 million African Americans in America That is where floyd Core Base is!!!
All u ****'s talk about Phill's Support Pac!
    Mexicans back their fighters...
but when it comes to black fighters u ****s act like the African American Community dont support their guys!!!

Floyd Fights on Mexican Holidays to Maximize Profit!!!

As as for Endorsements why should he?? once Companies Sponsor u, u are limited to what u can say and do!! u have to be on Egg shells...
even time u get in trouble u have to answer to ppl...and worry about Deals being taken away(look up Rick Ross "Reebok")

dude is able to make more without sponsors and at the same time no having to answer to anyone...and thats bad??

no one is saying floyd money is not guaranteed (well if waht is reported is true).

but cbs doesnt subsidized his fights.

there is a budget given to showtime.

and the showtime guy (is this espinocsa?) decides how to distribute it among sporst programming, tv shows, etc.

boxcing is only part of sports programming. so the sports budget, he is still to divide it to the sports they cover.

the boxing budget, he decided to spent on mayweather (200kk in 3yrs(?) for 6 fights, which is about 30+ per fight).

so 30kk+ and other expenses: this is the amount that they need to hit every fight. so you can clearly see floyd need a minimum number of ppv buys to hit every fight.

when you get a budget, people at the top expects you to make a profit off it.

even if floyd's money is guaranteed (if the reports are true), he still worries about his fights because, if showtime keep losing money, it may stop producing his fights, if it is allowed accdg to the contract. when this happen, where will floyd go?

if it is full 6 fights guaranteed no matter what, if showtime lose money overall, it may affect his future dealings witht the company. the top guy could be transfered or worst sacked.

this will have some ramifications on his future deals with the company esp if he plans to promote fights in the future.

edit: im not really familiar with mariners and cano. does mariners have a parent company? also, boxing is so much smaller than baseball (?). and baseball is full season. so cano's impact to the bottomline is so much greater.

boxing has no season ticket holders.

    no comparison, different sports.

and mariners need to worry about cano, he is their hire.

showtime, not cbs, worries about floyd, he is theirs.

wrong. im not saying it is bad, im saying he is not marketable and in niche sport.

    endorsement deals is about marketability.

if floyd is marketable, shoe execs were all over him like sharks.

lebron was already scouted while in hschool. floyd is an olympian, where are teh deals?

besides, as pointed out, boxing is a niche, the market is tiny in itself, at least in the u.s.

it is the primary reason boxing is on ppv. they are making off directly from fans because there arent many companies willing to invest.

edit: black ams are also wathcing oheter sports. prolly boxing is in the bottom along with swimming and tennis. just saying.

Floyd was with Team Jordan for years...
Floyd was Also signed to Reebok up until the Marquez fight....
    what am i wrong about??

Dude said he wanted to build his own Brand....Wade did the same thing Last years he left Jordan and signed with a Chinese upstart shoe company...he want his own Brand...

Shaq for years didnt sign with any shoe company After his reebok deal he made his own shoe

The Dream that played for the Rockets never had any Major sponsors because he didnt want it and he made his own shoe.

Dude is a Fixture in the Hip-hop community...rite now everyone like or want to be around him!!! his TMT shirts sells....

like i said its funny or none black act like we dont support our ppl who buys 90% of Jordan sneakers?? we support our people we just don't go over board with the ****....

U.S.A had many Great black Champions we look at floyd as just another one
The Phill's as a Country didnt have a Great Fighter before Pac so his whole country is behind him, the boy can farts and ya'll will applaud him!

You think P.Diddy wouldn't throw money and Endorse Floyd? Clothing Line and Ciroc? Dude is actually apart of floyd's Money team...and almost a Billionaire..

The Man said it many times he don't want any endorsements and he rather build his own Brand...:deal

If Boxing not making anymore directly from Fans wtf are u talking about??

FLOYD Last PPV did over 200 Million.......and the Pre fight week Casinos and Businesses in Vegas made a **** load of money!! what u talking about??...were talking about Floyd not any other boxer that need Endorsements Dude have like 3-5 of the Top grossing fights ever..and 80% of them comes from Fans paying to see him fight Win or lose

even the judge pushed back his Jail date because of the money he bring to the state so he could fight Cotto
