he's done well with his career and has gone along way but by no means is he gonna set the division on fire, thurman and brook would KO him imo, he's vunerable and he gasses out, its not relentless constant pressure (he is no matthyse), don't expect maidana to hang on to that belt for long, he's getting lit up sooner rather then later.

    ok, yes. good. whatever.

Doesn't change the fact that he wiped the floor with Broner and beat the living **** out of him.

I am happy.. this made my 2013!!!!

Finally, someone said it, I agree 100%.

Although, I don't think Kell Brook is your answer.

absolute **** post, he just won a strap against a guy touted as the next best thing. Actually this is far from average. The ~5 or whatever top guys that might do a job on him are not "most guys at 147". Embarassing

the guy who he beat was moving up from 135 all maidana proved last night is how overrated broner is nothing more then that. i guarantee you maidana will get decapitated if he ever fought guys like, brook, thurman or guerraro.

Thurman or Brook might beat Maidana but then Again they might not. If we learned one thing from last night, it's not to believe the hype about fighters who haven't stepped in there with top competition yet. Wait and see.

Mallinagi gave broner all he could handle too so beating broner at 147 is no great feat especially when most other fighters have dominated paulie recently.

He's better than average, but also the worst fighter Mayweather has faced in years.

Correct. All he did was beat an absolute bum in Broner.

I say a fight between Maidana and Brandon Rios is a 50/50 fight

:nono Correction, now that Floyd is fighting Maidana instead of Amir Khan that's the reason why Marcos is considered average or else if "Money" Mayweather had went the other way and actually signed to fight Khan then he, Marcos, would then be considered dangerous and someone that Floyd's ducking!
