Poor old AB is getting a lot of stick for not doing an in-ring interview after the fight. However, rumor has it that he broke his jaw hence why he made a quick getaway.

I have never had a broken jaw, but I can imagine it being very painful - can anyone elaborate and advise if a broken jaw is a legit reason for a non-interview?

Or should he have slurred his way through a few words post fight?

Ricky Burns fought 10 rounds with a broken jaw after his fight with Beltran, he also stuck around for the after fight interview.

Came in to mention the recent examples but they've already been mentioned, burns and Ortiz both did interviews with broken jaws. Did Abraham do an interview with his? That jaw was horrific. Muhammad Ali aswell after the norton fight.

There's countless examples of fighters doing interviews with serious injurys.

Alternatively, if Broner had been gifted a UD by judges (as I initially feared), then he would have gone into 42 bar rap session with his broken jaw!!

Toothaches hurt like a b*tch, so I voted that way..lol

Of course he should have done a post-fight interview.

Ortiz had one side of his jaw broken in half.

there is no comparison...Broner better get used to it at 147. fighting with his big ass mouth open = broken jaw.

Yeah he left cause hes a sore loser. Not cause of injuries. To his credit his jaw did look swollen, but that wasn't why he left. We all know if they had stolen that decision for him he would have walked out of there like he felt he actually earned it. Bragged on the mic etc.

Let's be honest he would've said something stupid anyway like crying robbery. He would've just embarrassed himself even more....

So yeah he should've stuck around. :yep

Noticed that when watching it, wonder if his mouth was open because his jaw was snapped?

Anyone know from what round onwards he was fighting with his mouth wide open?
