LOL, fight was not close. I was generous and had it 8 - 4 rnds for Maidana. Broner was lucky to have earned 3 rnds. I gave him the close rnd making it 4 total.

Ah yes, but that works both ways. If you hate a fighter, you;re naturally going to be inclined to score against him if the round is close. I kinda see where at's coming from...I could see five rounds where Broner had an argument for winning on a second (more objective) viewing. That makes the fight reasonably close on the cards (and was indeed a score turned in by one of the judges).

I had it a bit wider, personally (only gave Broner four), but I can see it being a bit closer. Can't see Broner winning...but that's not what is being stated...is it?

That's all I am saying.... It was a competitive fight is all I am saying broner took some heavy heavy ****.... But he kept coming I felt he lost just not by a blow out and it's worth a rematch ... Not really a broner fan but after that 12th round I am unlike Anthony vs bika he fought to the very end

I score rounds by asking myself, "which fighter would I rather have been that round?" (I know that isn't how to score by the book, but its how I do it.)

It would be hard to give Broner any rounds using that criteria because he never took control of any round, but round 3, and round 7, and round 12, it was something I had to think about, and I still gave those rounds to Maidana because Broner failed to establish any control, or make me think he had worked his way into the fight.

I've rewatched and to be fair to the thread starter my scoring did change slightly. I had it 117-110 maidana when i watched it live...on second viewing I had it 118-109 maidana.

Take your blindfold off. He won at most 2 rounds, one because of a point deduction.

Not even in the point deduction round. With the KD and the point deduction, it was a 9-8 round for Maidana.

I thought Broner won a few rounds in the early-mid rounds. But I think the only way you could score this fight close is if you were looking to give rounds to Broner, and gave him every round you could.

Broner could have won a couple of those rounds in between but the fact that he was shook so often when he got hit made me give Chino the rounds.
