Boxing should be like the UFC 1 organisation and they tell you who to fight

Some may ask why is is but others may ask why is was have been? Well, I say they don't know it be like it is is but it do do.

 

Don't you fight your way up to the top so that you can choose your opponents any pay days?

 

Basically this is what will happen. A champion has to face his mandatory challenger approx. every 9 months, in between that time they can choose there opponent. So the earliest froch will have to face another mandatory is july, now whether the mandatory defence is groves im not sure with regards to rankings now etc groves ranking incredibly may have dropped! or its somebody else eddie hearn will get a big fight lined up for froch next summer like a pointless froch vs Kessler 3 so when the time of the mandatory defence comes it will be too soon after his next fight meaning he won't have to take it. Basically everyone forget froch vs groves 2 its not going to happen unless froch carries on for another 2 years which I doubt he will and George takes the wba route to get to him.

 

Froch is now in the stratosphere of PPV

He has first hand experience of how rich he can get for boxing, a testament to Eddie Hearn and Match Room Promotions, and something Froch deserves given todays boxing politics.

So the fall out from that is he simply wants more, he wants more cash and more big fights. Chavez Jr seems to be the name Eddie is spitting out in interviews perhaps him and old man Bob are already planning the fight?

George Groves has got years ahead of him, Froch hasn't, FACT is, Froch stopped Groves, agree with it or not its now planned in the history books and Froch is right to move on, Groves's day will come again but it won't be against Froch.

George Groves should stop wining, stop going on like he's a winner :nono and get back in the gym.

UFC are not to be confused with MMA.

They are a promoter just like Eddie Hearn and *****.

Only diffenence is they also act as a sanctioning body as well by handing out UFC belts.

They sell you the product in such a way as you think they are MMA.

The same problems still exist.

Hence why some years back the 2 universally best thought of heavyweights in Fedor and Randy Couture never faught.

The way ahead for boxing is to periodically have super 6 type events for the respective divisions guaranteeing the best fight each other

 

Exactly. Unfortunetly the IBF is prone to taking the odd bribe and Carl Froch was already angry enough at him for making him mandatory to begin with.

 

No it isn't because then fighters outside the super 6 will find it hard to break in to the elite. It was ok as a 1 off but lasted too long.

 

I could be eating humble pie. I have just listened to 3 interviews with eddie hearn about froch, he is planning a fight for froch in june which is what I expected as stated in my last post but interestingly eddie hearn stated in each interview the fight that makes sense for carl would be a rematch, in his words it would be the biggest revenue fight in british boxing history and the biggest purse by a mile of carl froch's career and he has already earned some great money. He said that he was going to but the figures and opponents on paper for carl and let him decide. Basically the rematch has a glimmer of hope if it doesn't happen then its down to carl not wanting it because hearn does obviously for business reasons. please let it happen!!

 

absoultely believe Hearn wants the rematch. Carl has 1 or 2 fights and a Groves rematch would generate the biggest revenue for Eddie. It makes most sense for Eddie.

 

of course Hearn wants the rematch its massive money.

the way forward for boxing is meaningful mandatory defences and forcing the champion to defend against a mandatory every second fight.
