I thought the guy's got some skill to make it to the elite level. I could be wrong tho. What do you guys think Broner's problem that cost him his first loss. was it imitating mayweather too much? was it the weight? was it the style?

He had his moments against chino. Was there anything he could have done in the fight that may have changed the outcome?

His shoulder roll defence wasn't working. He tried putting his left shoulder into Maidana however left himself open for the looping left hands which started low, shaped like a body shot but in fact were cleverly disguised head shots.

I dont think AB has great foot movement, hence why he gets hits so often.

He couldn't handle Maidana's aggression and fight style. This was clear from round 1.

He has athletic talent but i don't see the skills that everyone is talking about.

    Footwork - below average.
    Power above 135 - average
Speed - slightly above average (no way near as fast as someone like Paulie, ODLH, Floyd, Manny)
    Punching variety - above average
    Defence - average

    He's dumb, and a bum.

There's nothing elite about him. Just a C level fighter.

Maidana just wanted it more...and I'm not just talking about on fight night. Marcos set his mind to winning that fight at the start of camp. Broner, on the other hand, was more focused on marketing and building his brand. Besides all of that, Broner's fundamental problem is that he's copying Floyd's style without the necessary tools to be successful with it. He's strong and he's got great hand speed , but he simply doesn't have the instincts or the experience to anticipate punches and block/slip/ counter them properly. It also doesn't help that his power is average at 147(and probably only above average at 140).

All hate aside, AB deserves a chance to redeem himself.
The "Chino" fight was a 100% humble session.

    He has zero footwork

He stood in front of a legit big puncher and got starched

    That happens
