Naz was the best british boxer in a long long time bar Calzaghe. He did also have a very good jab which was a weapon
I think you will find billy was very shrewd in between rounds during the beltran fight, ricky was in immense pain and if it wasn't for billy telling him how it was and keeping him concentrating on his boxing Britain would have one less champion, why can't we just enjoy a good champion when we have one. We have so many fighters trying to be world champion and when we finally get a good one they are slated and before SOLARIS you say im a deluded scotsman im born and bred in Nottingham!
I'm trying to work out what you are better than me at? Being a boxing trainer? Well of course, it's your job. Doesn't mean you are any good at it though.
The guy is obviously going to back his fighter. I would do the same. Why do people like you get so worked up about it.
Didn't post this thread to listen to your childish shite , your a nobody, yes you might be good at what you do, what ever that is? but don't slate somebody who is a professional in the sport that we all love. You don't know the first thing about training a boxer so you can't judge. He is the trainer of a two weight world champion for **** sake!!
It's Scot's not Scotch you think ****. If your going to call someone thick make sure you don't **** up in the process :rofl If you think Naz has UK ATG jab or movement then you haven't watched much boxing, son. You don't need to be a boxing encyclopedia to know that. You just need to watch older era's.
Ricky's last handful of fight results have been embarrassing. My view is nothing personal, before I'm jumped on and told I'm anti this or that, it is just opinion based on what I have seen. I've watched Ricky for years now, and in MY opinion he has lost his last two fights. Who is actually matching his fights needs to be questioned.. Is he world class? No. Can he hold onto his titles? Yes if he faces the right style/level of opponent. Whatever happens I look forward to his next fight, and the future. He's a nice bloke and that cannot be taken from him.
Watch the fight with the sound off and jim watt talking bollocks, you can make a case for a draw no problem. Ricky was imo 2 rounds down going into the 11th and he won that and the 12th. Before the knockdown burns was 3-2 up, with 2 drawn rounds knockdown made it 3-4, beltran won the 9th 3-5 the 10th imo was even , burns won the last two = draw
Naz never beat an elite fighter. He looked all over the place against the only 2 elite guy's he fought. His movement was found out, his jab was none effective etc. I'm not saying he didn't have a good jab or good movement because he did at a certain level. Naz was a freak in terms of athleticism but technically he was poor. Naz had great power and athleticism. Technique wise he was terrible. Just watch him fall all over the place in the Kelly/MAB fights. Haye is another example of a great natural talent with not so great technique. like Naz he's always off balance when missing punches because he has poor foot placement. His finishing is so clumsy and sloppy.
