chavez jr is overarted , but one thing thats not is his chin , froch has been dropped and wobbled , taylor . abraham r12 , kesslerII r11 groves .... i think groves could easily outbox chavez , but if he goes in gunslingin , i think he could come unstuck late . No way he should fight chavez now whos coming off a robbery ... maybe if he kos vera , id like to see him fight bika , whos chin in his last 2 fights looks like it could be starting to fade , add in the fact hes got a wbc title , no brainer !

He will do on a worldwide scene. But to be honest, as a Brit. I want him to fight over here. I don't want to be staying up until 4am to watch him fight. He should be headlining the London shows instead of Mitchell and Joshua.

You weren't seeing Chavez during an off night you were seeing Chavez actually fighting at a bigger weight and struggling badly, most big hitters at 168 beat Chavez comfortably the guy is very average when you take away his physical advantages.

Ward said he would like to fight Groves..................

(But Ward will only fight in his home town, with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc.)

That's nothing new to Groves seen as he fought Froch and his personal referee and judges last time out.

No ****** never robbed Groves in the Degale fight. And i disagree about the Paul Smith fight as well because he got Groves a world title shot after it against Steiglitz, but George pulled out of it.

This is part of the reason why I hope Groves sticks with Matchroom. If he joins a US promoter then HBO/Showtime will have their oar in and they'll be immediately pushing him towards Ward - partly because there's no one else for Ward to fight and partly because there aren't many other names for Groves to fight that have relevance at 168 in America (Froch and Ward is all).

Like you say though, Ward WOULD get everything on his own terms, despite his poor level of commercial viability suggesting that he doesn't deserve it. It's also still too early for George anyway imo. I'd want to give him another 18 months. That's about how far off he is from peaking imo. Much for that reason I feel that Groves interests would be better served with Matchroom for the next couple years at least. Eddie's gotta know that Froch hasn't long left. Groves can be their and Sky's new poster boy. He'll be better looked after and his star status built up with greater care within that context imo.

That said, I believe George will end up with GBP.

he should be screaming for the tommy oosthuizen fight then go for bika both winnable fights that will give him plenty to barter with , with any fighter in his division

Bika is a tougher fight than people think, Stieglitz is the way to go if he can't get the rematch.

Not sure which route is best but IMO he's proved he's up there with the big boys, I actually think he's the next superstar at the weight providing he keeps his head.

I think Matchroom should and will try hard to keep George. They will sort it out and Groves will be 1 of there main men. Might even take over from Froch as there PPV guy as in 2 PPVs he has done well. Against DeGail and Froch. I think it makes sense for Matchroom to try and sign him up to another 3 fight deal with a garantee of a World title fight in those 3 fights.
