Holyfield. With PEDs he built up to 217 vs./same as Tyson, but inches taller & much smaller legs. Listed as 13" & 22", Mike at 18" & 27". The former, especially calves, very small for a modern HW.

Of course genetics determine a lot (look at tuas legs) but boxing still having a heavy reliance on long distance roadwork means thinner more endurance based legs. From the hip down contributes to nearly 40% of punching power so hopefully these days trainers provide more of a balance for lower body training.

Shannon briggs has proper small legs...especially in comparison to his huge upper body.

whats better for boxing, would you rather have thin legs and a great upper body or thick legs and a thin upper body?

Wilder (as shown in the image)...he got his Olympic bronze at 201 lbs. Pretty skinny guy. But that ain't all bad if he stays fit and incorporates speed into his style.

Wilder lol. What a joke that fraud is, one of the more ridiculous looking HW contenders I have ever seen....

Clearly body composition doesn't have much bearing on punching power. Wilder seems to be a huge puncher.

I think for the shorter fighters legs play a big part of punching power.

Look at Amir Mansour in his last fight against Kelvin Price. The latter's legs resemble a latter . . . barring funny english and all.
