Let's look at the facts. Lennox Lewis's two best ever wins are over Evander Holyfield who was perhaps 10 years past his prime and Vitali Klitschko who has always been seen as the much worse Klitschko who was building a name of his brothers coat tails.

The fact is that Byrd beat the same old past it version of Holyfield much, much easier than Lewis did. Lewis possibly lost one of those fights too...

Byrd with his elusiveness walked down prime, pre injury Vitali and was the first man to stop him. This win from Byrd was much better than Lewis's win over Vitali.

W.Klitschko destroyed Byrd twice with ease. It was brutalizing to watch. Obviously W.Klitschko's two wins over Byrd are better than Lewis's wins over Holyfield and Vitali.

No, sorry. Lennox's win over Vitali is better than any win Wladimir has.

    :patsch

Byrd had already beaten prime Vitali years before that. Byrd was a much better win than Vitali back then. Vitali was seen as yet another cherry pick from Lewis at the time.

Forget that. It is very simple. Who has the better resume, Vitali or Chris?

None of those 3 have anything to do with Lewis or W. Klitschko's best wins.

Bryd has beaten Vitali and Holyfield. Which ATG's has Vitali beaten?

You honestly want to make the argument that the version of Holyfield that Byrd beat wouldn't get the crap kicked out of him by Vitali?

This thread isn't about ******ed mythical match ups so stop derailing my thread and let's get back to the main question.

    W. Klitschko's two wins over Byrd are much better than Lewis's two best ever wins.

Nonsense. He already proved himself in that era. Let's look at the facts.

Amassed an excellent 31-1-0 record during the 90's.

Won a Gold medal at the 96 Olympics during the 90's era. At least the second best era in HW boxing apparently.

Destroyed 90's legend and unoffical lineal and undisputed champ Axel Schulz who was in his prime. This was the first time Schulz was stopped. Wlad brutalized him inside 8 rounds. Schulz was coming into this fight from his infamous "three way robbery" trilogy of World title fights against ATG Foreman, Moorer and Botha who drug cheated in the fight. All three fights left a black mark on the sport of boxing but the purest of fans new damn well that Shulz was the true lineal and undisputed champ.

Stunningly destroyed Ring top 8 Phil Jackson within 2 rounds. Phil Jackson was good enough during the 90's to fight for ATG Lennox Lewis's WBC title in an 8 round war a few years before.

    Here is my 90's top 10 HW's.

    1. Lewis
    2. Bowe
    3. Holyfield
    4. Tyson
    5. Larry Holmes
    6. Mercer
    7. Wlad
    8. Schulz
    9. Foreman
    10. Moorer

An old blown up LW that was a decade past his best. This same version of Holyfield got brushed aside by Chris Byrd.

a shot shell of himself. Got utterly destroyed by Danny Williams.

A mental midget that barely fought anybody
A faded yet still dangerous version got totally brutalized by W. Klitschko like no one had managed to do before. The result would have went much the same.
A blown up Light Middleweight with zero chin. .
A near 50 year old man in horrendous shape. Axel Shultz dominated this man. Then W. Klitschko destroyed him during that era.

Lennox's best wins, in my opinion:

Razor Ruddock - First true test for Lewis...blew the dangerous Ruddock away.
Gary Mason - Beat unbeaten puncher Mason in his 15th fight.
Ray Mercer - had to fight in the trenches and draw on reserves to beat tough Mercer.
Holyfield fights - Won both. Holy was old but still very decent.
Vitalli Klitschko - Fortuitous win, but showed real determination and had turned the tide.

You could also chuck in his devastating win over Grant and dismantling of Morrison.

Wlad's wins over Byrd were good, but in the second fight Byrd fought a stupid fight. He also did not have the power to hurt Wlad.

Considering the respective opponents and the context of each fight, I don't think Wlad's wins over Byrd can stack up.
