DeGale UD. I think this fight would be perfect timing right now for DeGale. I don't think Froch would easily stop DeGale, he'd have to stay on him from the start. DeGale out works Froch IMO, takes the usual early rounds off Froch and withstands the fight back. DeGale doesn't have the power to stop Froch, but I think his shot selection would leave Froch's face reddened and sore.

Honestly think groves threw caution to the wind in Froch fight and thought **** it I'm gonna have a pop at this beak nosed Cnut

Dégale figh was carefuly constructed by Booth. I'm glad he's left Booth now he's much more exciting to watch .

Groves wd knock out Dégale if they met again or give him a serious beating. He will have gained lots of confidence standing and trading with the guy your not supposed to stand with. Froch has never been smashed like that goon toe to toe he usually takes about 3 shits and keeps coming . He couldn't with groves as groves was too powerful

Dégale we give Carl 5/6 good rds then loose last half being out pointed

    Froch stops him.

They say speed and movement troubles Froch, which I agree with. Without a doubt I think Degale will take rounds & have his moments... but the below 2 reasons are why he gets beat.

    - He doesn't hit like a Kessler or a Groves, when need be he won't be able to hold the centre of the ring (and it will come to it in a fight with Froch, where that needs to happen). Froch will come through him.

    - Time and time again, Degale finds himself against the ropes. Doing that against Carl Froch is asking for trouble, time and time again we've seen him do damage or stop opponents when he gets them against the ropes.

De gales problem is he doesn't have the single punch power to gain cars respect. Carl will walk through him and test his chin and I cannot see degale running away from a power punch without getting buzzed at some stage. De gale isn't as intelligent as groves in terms of ring iq

purely a guess here but i reckon rival promoters would rather see their fighters on sky or even boxnation over channel 5 - think degale gets much better ratings than sky but i'd bet a significant chunk of those viewers have it in the background as opposed to it being the main event

    Frocj Butes him.

Degale lacks the power to trouble Froch and often fights off the ropes which suits Froch perfectly. I'd honestly put Froch as one of the most dangerous boxers in the world when he backs his opponent onto the ropes.

Froch by TKO in rounds 4 or 5.

Is Degale going to be one of those sportsmen who ,for whatever reasons, never fulfil their undoubted potential? If he had progressed at the same rate as George since their fight ,I would have given him every chance against. Carl who may be approaching his sell by date. But at the moment James doesn't deserve to be in the same ring as Froch.

Did you not see Froch's last fight? Because the last time i checked DeGale gave Groves a harder fight than Froch did.

groves went into the degale fight with an underdog mentality to nick it whereas with froch he went out to win the fight. and of course there is a 10 year age gap between the opponents at the time of the fight

Who is Froch's better options then? Because he doesn't want to fight Ward again or rematch Groves either. The last time i checked Chavez Jnr wants the winner of Abraham-Stieglitz so that only leaves Bika or DeGale and they will be very hard to sell on Box-Office. Froch hasn't got that many options especially if he wants to fight on PPV again.

DeGale is another paid up member of the 'who needs him' club. Too good to take on as a tune-up, not a valuable enough fight for the risk. The type of guy who even if you beat may well make you look **** into the bargain as well as not being a massive ticket seller.

The way through all that for DeGale is, of course, a change of trainer and promoter who has enough depth-of-book to take him out of the who needs him club and stick him in the 'you may not want him but you're gonna get him' club. You still with me?

I hope DeGale gets a look in now focus is falling on Groves in particular, it would be good for DeGale to move up a league at this point.
