Nobody is blaming Leapai here. He'd be better off just getting a nice step aside check because come fight night he's going to be groped, mugged and fould to pieces.
You can't root for the guy because he won't be given a fair chance. There is no reason for this fight to happen other han Wlads greed.

 

I think if Wlad could get Fury or Arreola Stiverne winner guaranteed, the step aside $$$ would be almost half his purse anyway.

But with only 6 fights left in his career, maybe 7, I doubt Wlad is gonna throw one of em away, like 3 mil bux, unless the big one, was right there waiting.....kindof like the Haye situation, where if he fought Del Boy, he lost out on the Haye sweepstakes.:think

Wlad should start fighting guys who have double digit number of losses like the great Joe Louis. He should only fight Americans too because all non-Americans are bums. Oh yeah, he should only fight guys that weigh less than 210 pounds. Then he could be an all time great too.

The WBO did not enforce this mandate since Haye was also WBO #1 when he fought Wlad. So the WBO wasnt going to press the issue since Wlad had 18 to make a defense vs a top WBO fighter.

I've asked before why the WBO hasnt enforced mandates or given us eliminators. Now, suddenly they call this an eliminator AFTER the fact.

I think it's horse**** and Wlad should pay Leapei some step aside $$$ and guarantee him a 3 fight deal vs the likes of Banks, Tereshkin, or Olafabi.

I think so long as Leapei knew he got half his dough up front, say 250K(step aside) and more winnable fights vs Tereshkin, Banks, and Ola, maybe he'd bite......and hell, if he'd won those fights, or even just Banks and Olafabi, he'd be a VERY worthy title challenger IMO.:think

Wlad pulled an abdominal muscle 3 days before the fight. It wasnt the kind of injury to put him in the hospital, but the type that would need 4-6 weeks to completely recover from to where it wouldnt be a liability in the boxing ring. Certainly not the type of injury a handy injection of lidocaine would correct.

Anyways, he promptly rescheduled the fight for March 2011. But when Haye said it's me or DelBoy.......yeah, Wlad was gonna turn down 11 million so he could make 3.atschatschatsch

Haye had nothing to do with him ducking Chisora. Haye does not make any demands to Bernd Bounter.

 

What is this talk about Chisora? I mean, who has he ever beaten? He has just talked himself into big fights and Klitschkos saw him as an easy opponent. Now he has few wins in a row, but those wins were far from convincing.
