Calzaghe fans still try and argue that Roy Jones wanted no part of Calzaghe and was ducking him; even though Joe was an unknown, in a different weight class, from a different country and even specifically said he wasn't chasing after the fight. But even the last bit isn't enough for them, these people are mental:lol:

On and just for the record Joe Fans, he would have beaten Froch had he fought him. But he thought it was not much of a risk at his stage of his career. Cant knock that but thats why it makes me laugh that Froch does what he didnt do and hes a coward lol couldn;t make it up

Froch, for his first defence traveled to the States to fight the highly favored Jermain Taylor. Calzaghe fought Branko Sobot in Cardiff, enough said.

Exactly ....and Taylor was still a very good fighter, one of Frochs best wins....Again though no credit....everyone says he was bashed for 10 rounds.....yeah what about about coming back from 10 rounds of beating and smashing him in the last few rounds!!!!!!!! should get some credit !!!

Got to laugh at that complete lie by Silverback because A) Being WBC mandatory only allows you 25% of the purse B) Calzaghe was already moving up at this stage. C) Neither Calzaghe/Frank or Froch/Mick were with Sky at that time so they had no involvement. Froch was offered the fight for around 250k when he was getting about 20k per outing and he declined it because there was a rematch clause not the money. D) Your full of **** saying you worked for sports network. Barry saying guys like Veit and Sheika are bums is a laugh as well because they both have better wins on their record than Dirrell and Mack. Look at Hopkins title reign it is littered with guys moving up and guys like Robert Allen etc. and yes sorry I checked up Ashira boxed Eastman the once (Not long after Hopkins did) and ran him close. Honest I get back from the pub and Herol Gee and his alts have been hammering the thread all day.

Well said, some people have selective memories.
Froch had stagefright and Taylor although fighting at a higher weight class still had fast hands and decent pop. He won the early rounds and dropped Froch in the 3rd, by round 6 Froch was starting to find the target, and outjabbing Taylor. The second half of the fight was all Froch, he was winning the battle of the jabs and landing and hurting Taylor with the right hand. Taylor was only fighting in spurts, and was being outboxed and outfought.
This myth that taylor boxed Frochs head off before gassing with seconds left is exactly that, a MYTH.
