While I agree with you the same can be said for both fighters. We have haters and huggers on both end of the spectrum.

 

Cotto's showboat antics were just a way to draw more attention, to become more marketable. This fight was easy enough to afford him the opportunity to do that. If Gomez was giving him any challenge, I doubt Cotto would have showboated. It was a marketing opportunity and Cotto ran with it.

Yes, i seen a glimpse of his confidence in his new found style of boxing. He showed confidence in his jab and his latteral movement around the ring. His defense looked great. Before in his fights i witnessed when he backed out or moved out and rolled his shoulder he left his face wide open for a straight or overhand, now he covers it with his opposite hand. He looks great. I would like to see him move his head more rather than back out and move around. I think a couple of times he had gomez hurt but he backed out and was moving around. The straight forward cotto of old would have finished him in the 3rd. But overall good performance.

 

According to you, Cotto can't beat Clottey or Collazo either. You also picked Gomez to beat him, even though you claimed you never picked anyone over him other than Mayweather. Every post you make seems to contradict another.

 

But after watching margarito/cintron. I think cotto will destroy them. Easily, cintron just throws wild and ill-advised punches. Maybe because him and margarito are rivals, but that was the sloppiest fight ive ever witnessed. Margarito is a good fighter on the inside, but i know mayweather will destroy him on the outside, and i think cotto will destroy him on the inside, which basically means cotto and mayweather just need to get it on!!!!!!
