that'd be great news if Matthysse went to Garcia's gym. He'd be really appreciated over there and treated well.

Most of the **** posted above has nothing to do with the actual fight.
I had the fight very close & Garcia got some very favourable treatment from the ref (low blows, timeout for the mouthpeice etc).
So if Matthysse makes changes to his team & get with a better trainer & most of all gets top quality sparring (which he cant be getting in Argentina) then I'd expect a significant improvemant in his game.

He wont be getting a Garcia rematch anytime soon (weather he deserves it or not), so he's going to have to work his way back up. I'd like to see him stay at 140 & win a title before moving up to 147.

Danny looked like he had been watching tape of Pepe Le Pew. Couldn't wait to hug Matthysse.

Gee this thread is sickening. Matthysse is trash, this guy cannot box and will struggle against elite boxers. The Garcia fight was not a close fight it was easy work, good luck to Mattysse he reminds me of Kirkland, lots of pop, fun to watch, but limited skills. And what's with all these excuses? His eye was closed, he was on his period blah blah, when Broner lost to Maidaina it was clear to all that Broner was overwhelmed and outclassed, too many emotional bishes on this website.

Matthysse has a good chance of beating Garcia in a rematch. The first fight was close while both fighters had both eyes available to them.
