With Hopkins V Calzghe and Hatton V Mayweather am I the only one who feels the build up has been too protracted. Press conference, after press confernce, newspaper article after newspaper article. These guys are fighters not politicians but they are asked to stand up and speak in front of a crowd all the time. Do the promoters ask too much of the fighters in cases like this?
Sometimes I think so, and also the promoters like friction between the fighters every now and again to stir up interest in a bout. They like some pushing, shoving and the bad words. I remember Floyd in Manchester wearing his Man Utd shirt winding up Hatton's fans, during that protracted tour.
