...and this STILL won't be the most farcical world title bout sanctioned by the WBA in the last decade. Magee vs. Barboza reigns supreme, and will be hard to knock off the mountaintop.
If I am Ortiz or some of the other guys that have been in the top 5 for a while I would be pissed off.
you mean David Price who got into a ring with Thompson after having only half the fights Wilder has? as i say, there isn't a more pathetic specimen than Wilder.
2 undeserving fighters, to think that they will have Vitali's title when he would knock out both on the same night.
Wilder's manager Jay Deas is looking to make this fight: http://www.*****.net/news/2014/01/16/jay-deas-likes-fres-oquendo-fight-next-for-deontay-wilder.html
Can't imagine this would be for the WBA title but it would be a decent eliminator if the winner faces Ortiz or Povetkin.
Wilder refused to fight Thompson and Chisora, both those fights would have been better than Oquendo by far! Oquendo has been done for for many years now. What next? Dig up a grave?! It appears that the WBA believes boxing fans are ******ed...............perhaps there is an e-mail address where fans can let the boxing orgs. know what they think?!
Pretty much. Try to explain the WBA "World" and WBA "Super" titles to a friend who's interested and new to the sport.
The boxing machine is successfully molding Wilder for the cash out. I have to wonder if Deontay realizes it, or if it'll hit him when his first live opponent is Wlad and he asks himself why the hell his team jumped his competition up directly from old and shot no hopers to HOF champion.
