sergio's duck of 3G isn't nearly as egregious as sturm, murray & geale's. chocolate is scared too but he does at least have an excuse.

The only way we as fans get the fights we want, when we want them, is if we collectively boycott fights that are B.S. Therein lies the problem, there is no congruency amongst boxing fans. Fans appreciate different fighting styles, etc. Unfortunately the market has shifted to a premium on undefeated records. We live in a time where pre-fight shenanigans get more viewerships than good bouts. Fighters willing to fight the best are often times up and comers; then they get popular and have the luxury of being able to avoid the toughest competition.

As boxing fans, lets create a coalition, and agree to boycott bull**** fights. Problem is there would many partitions amongst fans. Good, decent, ok fights are all subjective. Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do about it. Pointing out a reality is not the same as supporting it. As a fan it sucks.

Sergio has stated publically that he would fight GGG actually.

Anyone that wants him to fight GGG coming off a year of inactivity and multiple injuries is just a hater who wants to see him get hurt.

This is not a duck. If he looks good against cotto and can't land the Floyd fight I guarantee he will fight GGG. At this particular moment for his career it make absolutely no sense.

Its understandable to fight Cotto for probably his biggest payday but I would like to see him vs GGG if he gets past Cotto. If he beats Cotto and then doesnt fight GGG, we can talk more ablut ducking.

There should not be demand for this

4 years ago, this would have been arguably the best fight in boxing

    But Sergios past it

He's given us many great fights, stepped up and battered much bigger guys, given us a monstrous unforgettable KO

Askin Sergio to fight GGG now is like asking Morales to fight Pac again after their second fight

It pointless, its barbaric, and it's just not fair damnit!! :'(

Im betting Mayweather will have his eye on that belt and beat an old Martinez or Cotto and declare himself the goat and possibly retire

If Mayweather beats Martinez, he moves 10 spots immediately on my ATG list, fighting Margarito & Pacman...later better than never is also +10 spots...Defending vs GGG and coming on top will gives him a case to be GOAT on some lists....All this is risky ****...not sure if Mayweather is into it now...:yep

Beating Cotto...Not so great...Cause he could have took that fight with Martinez himself...We just don't know how much Martinez has left :think

Sergio went on that boxing show Marquez does for Mexican TV & categorically stated he will fight GGG nonproblem, he even demonstrated to Marquez how he would do it, he's been out injured for a while & the Cotto fight is just a tune up so relax, if he beats Cotto & then refuses to fight GGG then you can say he's ducking, otherwise stfu.

Yet there is no contract for GGG to sign. All we get is Lewkowicz and DiBella saying Golovkin has to do this or that or Sergio needs blah blah blah.
    Make the fight or STFU.

The reality is that both GGG & Martinez want a mega payday with Mayweather, before they fight each other. It will be pure Karma if Mayweather beats both of them :yep

I expect Mayweather to take more risks as he feels his body aging & Welter getting more dangerous...Thurman is pretty much ending Mayweather future in Welterweight, so 2015 is in the safer Junior Middleweight where old big guys are moving down (Mundine, Martinez, GGG, possibly Hopkins :yep )

Also a big name I am almost certain is coming out of retirement right into to Junior Middleweight, if Martinez beats Cotto... 154 is getting stacked like never before...All praise to Mayweather :boxer

I like Sergio, but his ducking of GGG is on FMJ levels.

BoxingX has made some great point but I will wait until after the cotto fight. I also think like Collie stated that if conditions are right Floyd will go after the winner, certainly at a catchweight.
