I'd like to celebrate, but its not like the WBC is suddenly going to turn into some fantastic blessing for boxing now that he's gone. The damage of his legacy is done.
People are happy...and that is sad. They don't understand how small boxing is in the whole space of the world. I feel sorry for people so engulfed in this **** that they celebrate a family's loss.
its not like its someone we knew end of the day we are all 'ants in an ant collection' when I go, I hope people crack jokes at my funeral
I'm reading some VERY harsh comments about this man's passing. I know the sanctioning body was very bad but they all are. All I really know about Sulaiman is that he was great friends with a generally well regarded boxing nice guy in Emanuel Steward and I've heard that he has been pretty protective of Mexican fighters supposedly. But he's been around such a long time. Does everybody feel he was so terrible? More so than the other sanctioning body guys? Why? What did he do that's making people say really nasty things about him when he dies? Is it a little bit uncalled for or no? I swear people like Don King more and he went to prison for murder.
I'll just cut and paste my comments from a similar thread in general: "Good. Human piece of ****. He's responsible for the end of 15 round fights and all these sanctioning bodies. Boxing is better for this." I may be a bit harsh, but as far as the boxing world is concerned, I stand by this.
My momma always told me that if you didn't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. . .so I've got nothing to say on this one.
Dam reading all these posts happy that a man is dead ,all of you must walk on water ..atsch Either way what does this do for the WBC is his son going o be in charge now ?
