There's no need for me to keep this page. The bet is made and I'm a man of my word. I make straight predictions and not the fickle, whimsical bull**** you come up with. You fill up your posts with all this self-righteous babble supporting your prediction then you create a pillow soft rational by making a pre-concieved excuse why the fighter your picking lost. This is what you did with the Cotto vs Gomez fight. Though I'm confident you will stick to your guns on your latest prediction nostradamus.

 

Should be an all out slugfest. Cotto seems to be more polished as a boxer though & that could carry him to a victory. If he tries to outpoint Margarito. But Cotto does seem to suffer from facial damage(Cut lip, Puffy eye, Ect.) In a brutale bout like this, how would Cotto react to a closed eye or a bad cut? It could even go as a TKO for Margarito in this fashion.

Lets see how great Margarito is when he is only able to throw 500 punches a fight to his normal 1000. Cotto's movement will cut his activity in half. Put me down for a Cotto ass kicking. Cotto KO in 10 rounds leading on all cards. :happy

 

I wouldn't be shocked if the Judah-Mosley winner leapfrogs Berto in the rankings. You know Arum will be lobbying for that anyway, because it's a much bigger money fight either way.

I personally believe cotto will be the first to knock tony out. Tony seemed pretty ****ed up when he fought clottey. I believe cotto hits harder than clottey, and will put a kind of hurt on tony that has been a long time coming. Tony is just so there to be hit. And with someone like cotto who can not only hit hard, but has the type of movement and defence to minimize the punishment coming his way. I will definetly be putting money down on a cotto KO as those odds should be mouthwatering.

 

This entire fight will come down to whether Cotto's defense is sharp enough to keep him from getting caught. If he can use his speed and ring savvy to make Margo miss, and then counter effectively, he could get a UD. If he tries to turn this into a war he will lose, and look bad doing so. I don't think Cotto is a stupid fighter. He will try to outbox Margarito, not try to outslug him.

 

I'm sure Cotto will be able to keep Margo at the end of his jab for the majority of the rounds occassional allowing Margo inside so he may test the real estate. If Cotto finds he can chop the tree down through effective body work mixing in short counter shots in between Tony's whirling attack I can see Cotto putting up the type of damage needed to stop Margo and earn Cotto a TKO win.

 

Oh yeah?

If people will follow your lead . . . Cotto is going to get knocked out by any of his opponents.

I won't be suprised if you'll say Calderon will knock out Cotto.

I get the feeling that Margarito is a bad style matchup for Cotto. It will be a hell of a fight, and if it gets to the cards, Cotto will almost certainly win, but it should be extremely close, and a number of people on this board will call Cotto's victory a robbery.

 

I think Margarito is going to be the hardest opponent yet. But Cotto's speed and power will stop Margarito from throwing that many punches. Once his face is swollen and he can't see ****, Cotto will Knock him out

 

Margarito by KO and mangles Cotto's ear just like he did to Sebastian Lujan.
