I agree that he should be looking English and above.

No need to rush him at all as everyone's said.

He obviously needs someone who can take him a few rounds to prove the stamina and fitness is there before he goes in with anyone half decent. Never mind Tyson or Chisora.

But he also needs to go in with someone who can punch a bit too. His first 4 opponents have 8 KO's in 65 fights between them. By the end of the year stick him in with someone at domestic level he can get at, but where he'll have to be semi-cautious about what's coming back. I don't like the guy for what he did, but someone with the record like Larry O.

I know what your saying, but i don't agree with it. Joshua beaten the likes of Ian Lewison for the southern area title in his 3rd fight would be better than beaten that Lituanian guy last time out.

I would like to see Joshua go down the traditional route of Sothern area, English, British/Commonwealth and European etc..

Joshua would beat Larry O now quite easily, no offence to Larry but that steroid freak is a mega bum with no chin and terrible technique

2014 for Joshua will involve fighting a bunch of feather fisted blown up Cruiserweights.

Hearn will go down the Kell Brook route of very carefully matched 'name' Heavies who pose no threat to Joshua, first time he'll face someone who is a big heavyweight that has a good chin and power, Joshua will get badly sparked out.

David Price wasn't rushed anywhere. He was just never that good.

I doubt we will see him in a meaningful fight this year or next. As he is headlining shows or at least sharing top billing i just hope people give him time and don't turn on him. 20 or 30 years ago most people wouldn't even know who he was, gold medal or not.

I agree. Point wasn't really about Larry O specifically. Just someone who has shown they can punch back. Larry's pretty ordinary, but 9 KOs in 10 wins does suggest he'll hurt you if he hits you.

Yeah I agree Larry would be a good opponent after Darch.

I'd put him in at least 10 fights and try to get him in against two names of Hury Fury and Michael Sprott level maybe Dillian Whyte as well given the history.

No real need to rush him really, give him a mix of opponents, like differing styles and make sure the boys are tough and will have a go at him. I wouldn't be putting him in British title fights for at least another 6 or 7 fights. Chisora and Fury are too dangerous just now, he should be able to lay out McDermott, Towers and possibly ***ton but there is always a risk this early.

Let's not forget he is a fortuitous Olympic gold medalist. I had him clearly losing his opening bout despite it being against a class operator. That said I do think he has a lot of potential. I'd like to see him fight hughie fury but there is no chance of that happening.

Zack page, Dallas, maddalone? John McDermott perhaps?

No need to rush him but at the same time don't hold him back. Aim to get him in with sprott.***ton,Hughie in the next 3/4 months
