Cotto scared me a bit on Saturday...here's why...

because his opponent was not a threat. i'd showboat a bit too if i knew i could end the night whenever i want. it doesn't mean he'll keep doing it though

 

It had a lot to do with the OPPONENT. Not that one should do that:nono That's how upsets happen ask Tyson. Cotto knows he wouldnt do that against Mayweather or Margarito. Much different than Alfonso Gomez:yep

 

Cotto getting cocky or just plain not giving a **** against a lesser fighter isn't anything new. Thats how he got into trouble against Torres.

It could screw him one day...but I doubt it.

 

I liked it. Shows personality and that he is feeling confident.

 

I'll also throw this in there: that switching to south paw **** that he was doing isn't anything new either. He does that a lot. Did it a lot in the Judah fight and a bit in the mosely fight too. He does it to get more steam on his left hand. He's a natural lefty remember.

 

Well put...Cotto is a beast...and a beast of a boxer...
I was really amazed at his speed....worlds faster than any of the other 3 fighters that nite, this includes Margarito who would've brought out the real animal in Cotto.....Cotto crushes Margarito inside the distance...Cotto showed that he has superior hand and footspeed...aside from this he is a much more intelligent fighter than Margarito.......one thing Margarito showed is his excellent ability to mix up his punches with astounding accuracy....it was funny and sad watching Kermit get owned...body, head, body, head...everyone powerful, accurate, and debilitating......Cotto-Margarito would be a war for a while then Cotto digs deep and puts another warrior down:good

 

Well because he was fighting Gomez and thinks hes a bum if he fights Margo or of course cotto will take them seriously.

 

Dang, Fitz must not be liked too much in the lounge.:rofl

 

Let the man have his night in the light, He wanted to give his fans a good show, considering the opponent. He knew Gomez was in way over his head.

cotto isn't dumb enough to fight an elite fighter like that.

 

The thing is...we don't know what Cotto will do against the next "elite" fighter he faces...he just better not be too cocky haha...

 

He was fighting Gomez, that's why, why would he or anyone take a fight like that seriously anyway?

 

He won't do that **** against Floyd ... he's not that skilled ... in fact he's not half as skilled as Mayweather and in boxing ... skills pay the bills.

 

Putting your life on hold waiting for Cotto to lose isn't a good idea.
