This was/is all about stopping Froch from controlling anything, he didn't control the first fight or the build up and has not dictated the terms of a potential rematch. I honestly believe Groves would rather get paid less just to stop Froch from dictating terms.

If Froch was annoyed by Groves' "lack of respect" before the first fight then he is long irritating build up if this gets signed.

For what it's worth I think a rematch is a genuine 50/50.

 

I think should be 60/40 froch favour.lets just get the fight on now and get a date and venue sorted

 

its what the ibf think its worth , does not matter what anyone eles thinks , end of the day he will be in another tough tough fight probably one of the hardest he will have in his carrer , you think he will like froch getting 85%

I do not think Groves cares what Froch gets, Groves knows he has no real bargaining power, he is not stupid.

This all reminds me of Haye not shaking Wlad's hand before their fight and not turning towards the cameras at pressers when Wlad tried to turn him towards the press. Haye said something along the lines of Wladimir like to control everything and everybody and he wouldn't allow him to do it.

OK it did Haye no favours LOL but I believe Groves is trying a similar thing with Froch, just not allowing him to control anything or dictate.

I think groves needs to be careful after the fight he had 80% of fights fans in Britain praising him to the hills and rightly so because he put up a great performance and yes it was stopped to early but with all his crying and whinging and being on sky sports every f**KING DAY he is risking it all turning against him and by the time of the fight I can see the same scenario of him walking to the ring being booed.

Completely agree. I can see where george is coming from as he deserves 25% no doubt but he is risking looking like he's whinging in the eyes of fight fans. Then again It may just be mind games like the last time.

Either way Groves will be fighting for a world title after a stoppage loss. Groves was not the number 1 challenger when he fought Froch and will not have to fight some sort of eliminator or have a couple of tough fights to get another shot... maybe not a blinder but he has done very well.

 

Will he though? Will he still go through with the fight if he is only getting 15%?

If he pulls out I don't see how he will be getting a title shot?
