Froch played right into Groves hands last time, he was over confident, and very sloppy, he thought he'd simply walk through Groves and he paid the price in the first round. Froch was poking his jab into Groves face, and letting go with the odd right hand, Groves wasn't doing very much at all. Just prior to the KD Froch tagged Groves and waded in, in doing so he walked straight onto Groves right hand and dropped heavily. This gave Groves a great start, and big advantage. All of a sudden Froch is groggy and now having to chase the fight.
The fight wasn't fought at a high pace, and Groves wasn't chasing or pressurising Froch, yet he ran out of gas, and was being walked down during the last couple of rounds. Even when he landed his big shots, he was unable to discourage Froch.
This is why i don't understand why some folk think Groves will win easily with a different ref.
In the rematch he will still have a speed and technical advantage, but i don't believe he has the engine or the discipline to beat Froch by decision. I expect Groves to boss the early rounds again, and he may try and pace himself a little better, but at some point he'll tire and Froch will start to catch him.
I think the KD, the success in the early rounds, and the bull**** stoppage are blinding people a little here.
Groves looked like he was faltering in the last couple of rounds, and i think he'll do the same in a rematch.

I wonder what Froch would say if he was offered 15% for a Ward rematch directly after he first fight. Froch is a complete twat, incredibly unbearable these days. The guy is thick as mince, his double standards are cringe worthy.

Not as bad as the ringside team, massaging his ego at every opportunity. Froch should be looking to correct the outcome of the last fight rather than looking for a way out. Everyone just laps up the propaganda.

If Groves has a chance of getting another 10% then wouldn't you at least try? This is millions of pounds here not a couple of hundred quid.

Which he probably will. But who's 15% will it be, if it goes to purse bids? I can't see Hearn risking this one slipping through his fingers, I think he will fight hard to get a deal done before Feb 4th.

Of course he was, he looked absolutely out on his feet as he was unloading on Groves prior to the stoppage.
    Dont confuse opinion with facts.

Why you lot still arguing about the fight? No one is going to change anyones opinion on it here, the rematch has been ordered, the IBF split confirmed...now lets see if it goes to purse bids, and bring on the rematch!

Last time round I said GG would be ahead(comfotably) and get stopped or TKO around 9/10 rounds

Next time I think GG wins, he has shown he can fluff his way to a decision over 12 rounds against De Gale. The only difference being DeGale doesnt bring anything like the pressure Froch does. If he can get his stamina improved or regulate hsi punches a bit so he can get himself out of danger late on, I think he can do it.

:lol: I say the exact same thing. If Froch was blowing that bad he wouldn't of been able to of unloaded the hard, crunching punches and sheer volume if he was that tired.

Lets face it we've seen Froch late on, He's a wonderful athlete and is built for those later rounds..

This fight should be a 99-1 split in favour of the international superstar destruction knockout artist, Carl Froch. After the champ brutally stopped Groves in the 9th round handing him first crushing knockout loss and the corrupt IBF declaring Groves as mandatory, even though the officiating was spot on, its the most Groves should expect to get and he should definitely be happy with it. Also Eddie Hearn should get 95% of Groves future earnings for the next 20 years... it's only fair.
