Groves is now just trying to maximise his take from this fight. He would be daft not to.

The IBF can change the 85/15 split if they so wish, it's within their rules to do so.

I fail to see how a 15 per cent share is fair or just. He deserves at least 25 per cent. Maybe Froch is low balling him in the hope that he does not have to fight him again?

The whole world knows Froch doesn't want the fight.

it is if it equates to 1million odd quid!

Groves = no longer mandatory, has nothing to have earned a greater share other than giving Froch a bit of a beating for 6 rounds..which wasnt enough to get rid of him and Froch came on strong.

IMO he's asking for more than he's worth...said it loads of times, if he's confident take the 15% beat Froch then he's world champion the world is his oyster in the division and he can go on to earn mega bucks.

Why be so focused on the money against Froch..get on with it stop moaning, bank a mill or so and take on the world.

    He's an annoying whining baby....:tired

Groves should of took the 1st offer. Trying to be clever has back fired. If I was Froch I'd give no more than 15%. End of the day Froch won ref spoilt a good ko ending. 1million to fight Froch and he turned down. He wants fight so bad but turns down that much?

Think Groves has made the correct decision here.

Missing out Hearns offer and getting the IBF to call the rematch was shrewd if you ask me. Say he did accept Hearns offer, then nothing was made official with the IBF... what happens if Froch pulls out? At least now Groves has some backing by a governing body.

Secondly, we all seen the mind games and banter before the fight. Groves did get in Froch's head, he couldn't understand why Groves wasn't in awe of him and couldn't handle the home truths he was being told. Now, Groves went out and did near on everything he said he would (again, something Carl couldn't comprehend) but in my opinion and many others he had it taken away for him. Now the IBF have called the rematch, Groves can say that not only did he dominate the fight as well as put Froch on his arse, not just those in the arena but the IBF even though the stoppage was wrong.

Never read so much hypocritical bull.

Anyone who is in Groves's position would do exactly the same. This fight is hyped because of Groves. He deserves a lot more than 15% as he delivered on the night before. Whether he gets more or not is part of the business.

    Agreed.

Smaller scale but any normal person in a job where for arguments sake your getting paid 30k a year but there's a chance of getting 35k, you're going to look for the 35.

Froch offering Groves a low figure is just typical of him. The idiot doesn't want the fight and everybody knows it yet he'll carry on trying to make out Groves is the one not wanting it. Why the **** would he not want the rematch? He battered Froch in the first fight so Froch should just give up on that talk and admit he's a coward. Or he should actually offer Groves a respectable split.

What happens if there is deadlock? Does it just go to purse bids or does Groves lose his shot?
