He is coming of a narrow win over Gavin rees ( I thought he lost personally) in a early domestic FOTY candidate, so how would you guide his career now? Rematch with Rees? Rematch with smith? Can a rededicated Buckland be a force at lightweight?

Also not heard one person say how well Buckland fought in that fight, he did well against a former world champion.

It was an elminator for the British title I believe so naturally Martin Gethin also another 50/50 fight where the loser has to take a long hard look in the mirror.

Buckland will beat Gethin... I would like to see him in with Coyle or Crolla

Thought Rees nicked it but no complaints.

Will be Gethin next it seems credit to both Saturday great throwback fight.

The one thing to bare in mind even for the winner Buckland those fights take a lot out of you short & long term hope he is rested up for a while...brutal action.

IMO he lsot but great fight. Buckland could go on to win the British title but that I feel is his level....can't see him going any further...Kudos to him though and good luck to him.

been at British title level in a dvision filled with strong domestic rivals means he could make a good amount defending the British title.

Yeah maybe, hard to see him challenging at the very top, but this win could give him the confidence to push on. One of the best performances I have seen from him, he looks motivated again.

I think his manager is Hatton.. I think Rees was back to his best for that fight. He was very flat against Crolla.. I think Domestically Buckland can compete at British maybe even euro level

Was the rees fight a final elimminator?. Also it might not b gethin has gethin got to fight crolla first ( I believe in april) who is his mandatory. Regards to bucklands next move I'm not sure has he isn't tied to a promoter he will hav lots of options. But guessing matchroom will try to tie him up for selby undercards.

Gethin would be the next fight. Used to live near Gethin and seen him fight plenty of times. Buckland wins np. Then maybe Murray and big if he wins that Crolla or Luke Campbell.

Or if it can be made rematch with the Rock.
