I've just watched Bunce's show and he had a very depressed sounding Murray on the phone. He doesn't sound in a good place right now, and kept alluding to the fact that he's kept in the dark about what's happening with his own career. To me it sounded like a dig at his promoter but maybe I'm way off the mark. Does anyone know if relations with Hatton are strained at the minute? Its clear that Ricky is finding it difficult without regular TV dates, is this holding Martin back? He is in his prime now and things have really not fallen into place since the Martinez fight. The worst bit is that he didnt sound as though anything is even lined up for the future.
Murry needs to move on and get a deal with Hearn. if he cant get a Hearn deal get a deal with old fish eyes
Doesn't help that he keeps pulling out of fights! Since his impressive display against Martinez he's been nothing but disappointing
Yes he has looked pretty stale. I just put it down to a lack of motivation or maybe he's trying to eek out his contract before moving on. Either way he's a good fighter and its a shame to see him lose the momentum from the Sergio performance.
Does sound like he could be losing faith in Hatton, but in fairness, the TV companies are the ones who are really calling the shots, and holding promoters to ransom.
He does, and Bunce was trying to cheer Martin up by saying they'll see him fight on Boxnation soon. For some reason that didnt seem to lift his mood!
Think he found out he's not getting a Sturm rematch?:think I get the impression that Murray has no idea what's going on with his career.
If you're British u need to with Hearn or Frank I can't see what anybody else is bringing to the table.
Match Room have a vacancy at Middle Weight, Ricky Hatton should do the admirable thing and let him go, if he can't get the lad out during his prime he's not doing his job!
